I am not saying that I think Terri is like this (I do not have enough information to form an opinion)

I am wondering if there are degrees of severity of Munchausen by proxy as there is with any mental illness or defect ...

For instance some years ago I knew a pregnant teenager who would take very hot baths to get the twin babies in utero upset and she would end up in the ER all so that she could have contact with the father. Not necessarily Munchausen by proxy but certainly some kind of narcissistic personality disorder that caused her to become justified in causing her babies discomfort so she could get what she wanted.

MSBP is one of several factitious disorders, meaning a condition where an individual feigns physical or psychological illness. The disorders take different forms with various degrees of severity. They are sometimes chronic and sometimes episodic. With MSBP, the person with the disorder makes a child or an elderly patient the suffering victim, and places herself in the role of loving caretaker. Individuals with any form of the factitious disorders all share a common goal: attention, sympathy, and affirmation. And many of them suffer from a personality disorder, whether borderline, antisocial, or narcissistic.

I suspected MSBP very early on in this case. I've since put the idea on the backburner because no information has emerged to support it. MSBP aside, I do have a strong hunch that Terri is someone who would use deception to garner attention and approval.

I have seen photos of Terri and Kyron alone together on another site, one was at a zoo and one was on a ride someplace...just FYI...

Someone was taking all the pictures we have seen of Terri and baby K.

Well...yes...someone was taking them. Maybe a girlfriend. Although she could have had the camera timed and on a tripod.

And someone who was on all the vacation trips that Kyron took where he is in the pictures with his dad, brother and little sister ...I imagine Terri was the one behind the camera.

Well, it's private now, but I do know some have stated they saw her photo albums on FB and there were plenty of pics of Kyron; I can't answer to that because I never searched through it, but one of our own members said she checked Terri's FB all the way back to its beginning and saw nothing that made her suspicious. I took it to mean that included photo albums, too.

I just went back on Kyron's stepmom's facebook all the way to the day she joined. There is NO indication at all that she would have had anything to do with this. She is VERY involved in Kyron's life. She is a teacher herself... she took time off to be with the children after the birth of Kyron's little sister. She is very active in Kyron's life, takes him to swimming lessons, participates as a room mother in his class, loves him as her own. Refers to him as her son.

I've seen no mention whatsoever of his real mother. I wonder what that situation is. It appears that the real mother has no visitation or anything... if she's alive. I don't know anything about Kyron's history before his stepmom came into his life, but by all indications, I don't see how he could have had a happier home life with anyone. She is pretty much the mom every child should have. And she truly loves him.

REally really hoping that this child is found!

I've never heard of anyone mentioning that any of the photos showed signs of what you'd expect in MBPS. The family seemed happy and healthy and active and from all appearances, cared about one another. I don't believe there was a MBP going on with any of the children.

ETA: I'd think it would have been a red flag and noticed if Terri obsessed over the childrens' health (as you'd see in MBP).

I also think Terri was the one behind the camera many times in the family photos.

I always seem to windup taking our family photos.

Not to mention the fact, that I HATE HATE HATE to be photographed for the most part...Especially when I've put on a pound plus two or three. I love to take pics of everyone else, though. ;p

My momma always says that I am vain and that I'll never be prettier than I am today. She always backs it up with, "Just wait another 10 years!" Gotta love that lady! LOL

I just saw one where Terri is standing behind Kyron (she is very much pregnant.) It looks like it is for his birthday because he has lots of presents on the table.

I think it is on the first page linked above.

I have seen others but I am not going back through hundreds of photos to find them. LOL! I am too tired. Maybe I will look for them later but through every event in his life she seems to be right there with her family, including Kryon....except when he was with D&T.

How can we fully answer that when we can't link to the private Facebook?

I've seen pictures of Terri and Kyron together, warm and fuzzy.

You can probably go back to the first Kyron threads and browse through there or search and see what's discussed, such as the post that Calliope found.

It seemed to start as Munchausen, then change, but I haven't been able to figure out what it changed to, so I was going with the flow.

Mine has to do with the Terri Horman , syndrome.
I'm having a hard time figuring out why if Terri was such a loving mother to Kyron and did all the things for him, why haven't we seen any pictures of with Terri with just Kyron, like the ones with everyone else. I'm not quite sure how she really felt about Kyron. IMO there was something there, not sure if it's a syndrome, don't think it is, but IMO Terri didn't really have the love for Kyron that a Mother has.

Parents and caregivers w/MBP not only make up stuff to take their kids to the docs or ED, but they actively try to make the child sick. Another reason why those photos are good clues; Kyron just looks healthy. He's participating in sports and other activities. He's thin, but I think that's just his build; Kaine is rather lanky too.

IMO, the reason that TH isn't featured in a lot of the pics of Kyron is because she may have been the family photog.

I've been my family's photog for years & years (following in my late dad's foot-steps, I suppose). As a result, I'm in very few of the family photos, since I was behind the lens more than I was in front of it (same goes for my dad).

Do I adore my daughters? More than anything in this world - which is why I have so many photos of them.

This also ties in nicely as to why she didn't oppose the RO and (IF INNOCENT) seek some sort of visitation with her toddler. IMO

If she can't do it for baby k, why would anyone expect her to do IT for her Kyron?!?

As much as I want her to be innocent of all things regarding this case, I can't get past her inaction regarding her precious toddler.
