But instead of waiting for the investigation to be complete, you are accusing the FBI of infringing on this guy's rights.

It was probably an industrial ACCIDENT. As awful as it was, fertilizer factories are highly dangerous and people know that.

But we have videos of the brothers dropping off those bombs on the sidewalk, and witnesses who saw them as well. That is why there is more outrage in this explosion compared to the fertilizer plant. One was an accident, although possibly negligence. But the Boston one was Premeditated MURDER.

Good notion, but it was turned over for criminal investigation -- no evidence of accident.

I think you are glossing it over. It is more than just friends from the home country. They had been looking into the Waltham murder for months already. They did not spend 8 hrs interrogating with 6 agents, if it was just 'looking into' a possible connection. JMO

BUT ! What do we KNOW - just like the notion that we do not KNOW what happened in his house. We do not know either way .......................about what LE did, about what he did...........THAT is the problem.

Who in their right mind would think assaulting a federal agent would be tolerated?

I tell you what, he didn't care! His (well documented) rage took over and he attacked his last victim.
But this time it wasn't a man in a mall parking lot or a guy on the street. It was an ARMED federal agent.

They had been in contact recently for one. If they really didn't know each other then why the contact around the time of the bombing?

Would if be preferable to put more emphasis on how many hours detectives interview someone that may pose a direct threat to our country to protect the safety of all individuals or worry about how tired the guy gets and needs a break?

Should they give him the opportunity to flee or commit another crime if it's a matter of to many hours of interrogation. They try and make the person as comfortable as possible when they are speaking with them so they will be relaxed and more likely to talk. He wanted to be in his own home, they obliged to that. They try and talk to someone so they don't feel threatened and therefore are more willing to open up. So, it's not surprising to me if as the interview went on the agent may have started to ask some tougher questions and he blew knowing that he was backed into a corner with his own statements. He may have wanted to die as opposed to arrest. Is this why he told his friend that he was afraid he was going to get shot? Knowing he was guilty did he feel there was a chance that he would be arrested and would rather die by cop, like others in this situation? Maybe he wanted to take his secrets with him to his grave so he didn't shame his family or cause more distress towards his country? Maybe he wanted to make the US look bad and start a conflict or contribute to the already ongoing conflict.

Do we want law enforcement to do what's necessary to protect our country and get the bad people off the streets or are we going to cry because suspects/criminals don't cooperate and become violent and end up dead by their own choices and actions?

Suspected/believed to be/pretty sure of/positive... That doesn't make a difference in the outcome of assaulting an agent.

It went from a knife, to an ice pick to some long object.

I do not know I would be more scared if someone said I am going to stab you with a knife.

Or I am going to stick you with this ice pick.

I am going to hurt you with this long object -?

Scary, they could not distinguish , for days, if it was a long thing, a knife, or an icepick.

I would think that would be easily determined whenl he fell over dead,,, look around his hands , may be a clue there.

That's called the media for you. Not sure how that is the fault of the FBI. What does it matter what he had? He had an object and intended to do harm.

If he lunged at the agent after flipping the table over, then the agents had every right to shoot him. JMO

I think it's pretty clear this man was a violent man who snapped on multiple occasions with rage and was very dangerous given his training.

Did you read about the road rage incident from 2010? How violent it was???
How he had to be held by witnesses until LE got there because he was screaming threats and acting crazed???

Then 2011 was the triple murder. I happen to believe there is some evidence of his involvement.

Then 2012 the parking lot incident. Left the man unconscious. Just beat the carp out of him and tried to just drive away. Over a PARKING SPOT!

Sprinkle in several street fights over the years that got him kicked out of multiple gyms.

IMO he should have been locked up long ago. Very volatile man.
