Law enforcement sources initially said Todashev stabbed the agent with a knife, but said Thursday there was confusion over what object Todashev used in the attack.

In the wake of the bombing, detectives developed DNA evidence linking both Tamerlan Tsarnaev and his younger brother Dzhokhar to the triple murder scene.

The body of Ibragim Todoshev, the man shot by an FBI agent earlier this week during an interview, will be taken back to Russia for burial.

BUT, not all that big a surprise they all were friends, so the DNA being there ought not meaningful

That would unglue even an innocent person.

How could it be monthS? It's only been a little over a month since the bombing.

Carvajai was one of his neighbors. The "months" watching him is probably exaggerated quite a lot. JMHO.

No it was just soldiers monitoring the crowd for our safety.

I have never seen National guards at a sporting event like this before...

What was his "credible" fear for his safety when he was granted asylum? Father claims he went to US and decided to stay because he "liked it." An enemy of my enemy is my friend? Seems to me to be the reason US was so freely giving out asylums to those visting from regions that had conflicts with Russia.

ITA,it's incredibly hard to get green cards based on asylum but these Chechnyan guys did not seem to have much of a problem to obtain them...

It is soooooooooo interesting at how "dealing" is becoming a much bigger part of the story! IMO, we are going to find a pretty big ring!

I tend to agree with you. We saw what was supposedly one national guard on the rooftop. Although I'm sure there was more presence, there was barely enough security to deter or help protect the people who were at Boston marathon that day. From what I saw, it just looked like a lot of independent security (who would have been contracted to the event) not an actual strong law enforcement presence. It would be interesting to know what type of history the Boston marathon has in respect to security protocols and if they had encountered any security issues/threats of a smaller degree in the past. IMO

The probable hearing for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev had been delayed yet again.

http://www.thedenverchannel.com/new...hon-bombing-suspect-dzhokhar-tsarnaev-delayed

The date was set for 30th of May, postponed to 2nd of July, now the new date is 10th of July!

Any insight into all the delays?
American justice system at work -- that is how the game is played -- this will go on for years and years and years and years and years and then some more years!

It is no longer a justice system -- it is a legal system - a heap of difference!

No longer has anything to do with guilty or not guilty (not in this case) it is who is the better quarter back. Also big business.

All these guys (prosecutors, defense attorneys, court appointed lawyers judges) all know each other out of work.

Over cocktails during the holidays the dialog is like I will give you 20 years on Bill, no I will give you 15 with probation, no I will give you 17 with probation, well you know Bob (judge) is not going to go for that, but Sam (different judge!) just did for the Jones case, and Bobbie isn’t going to go for it but I will throw in no eligibility for parole, if your client will plea bla, no my client will plea bla I will give you 18 with probation bla bla

IMO, a big racket

Haha. Your commentary. :)

We haven't even reached the probable hearing, let alone the trial! If it ever advances to that stage and there is no plea deal. I am anticipating the probable hearing, I am really curious to know what both sides present. You would think, if prosecutors had an overwhelming case (open & shut) against DT, like many here claim, they would be going harder at him to attempt to get this wrapped up. I think there's still a lot yet to come to light in this, it shows this investigation is a lot more complex than some assume. IMO

Boston marathon runners, got to finish the last mile on Sat.
BOSTON (AP) - Thousands of athletes joined victims of the Boston Marathon bombings to run and walk the last mile of the race Saturday, reclaiming the triumph of crossing the finish line.

About 3,000 runners and bombing victims gathered in light rain to run the final mile of the world's oldest annual marathon, said Kathleen McGonagle, spokeswoman for those organizing the event known as OneRun. The 1-mile run began at Kenmore Square and ended at the official finish line, where participants hugged and cheered.

A probable cause hearing for Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been delayed by a federal judge.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Marianne Bowler on Thursday scheduled the hearing for July 10.

Bowler earlier this week granted a joint request from prosecutors and defense attorneys to postpone the hearing originally scheduled for May 30 until July 2. The lawyers say they need more time to obtain and review evidence.

The initial delay was requested by both sides. Not uncommon at all in any case really. There is a lot of information for both attorneys to review. Attorneys have other ongoing cases as well, that they are committed to.

The Judge only delayed it a few more days. This sounds like it may be do to scheduling issues. I used to do court scheduling and it is very hard to coordinate the court schedule with all the attorneys schedules. After the July 2 hearing was scheduled anyone of the parties may have discovered there was a conflict on that date. It could be as simple as someone being on vacation over the holiday.

Some of them seem to show up on tourists visas and student visas, but are able to convert them to refugee visas. Yet a lot go back for visits to Russian Federation, so where exactly is credible threat to their lives? I guess US shouldn't be surprised some of these refugees are behaving badly.

The landlady actually said the rent check came from the mother even after she moved back to Dagestan.

So with mother paying $1200 rent, TT had extra money (from wife's job) to buy bombing materials. Where did TT's mother get the money in Russia to pay the rent?
