Terrorist Attack at Boston Marathon #4

I listened to some TH's earlier and they confirmed my thoughts. Of course just speculation. However they robbed a 7/11. Did not seem to have a well devised plan for after the attack. I dont think they were funded by a terrorist Group. No Group has come forward to claim resposibility. I think they operated on their own or with some minor help?

I'm not sure they would have required funding anyway, considering they used cheap, readily available bomb making materials and were already living and established here for years. Whether they have ties to any group remains to be seen. It was a year before any group claimed responsibility for the London subway bombing. Terrorist groups may be more reluctant to take credit now a days with the drone program in place, but that's JMO.

Terrorist groups may be more reluctant to take credit now a days with the drone program in place, but that's JMO.

Well these two may have NOT taken credit because they hoped to perpetrate future attacks.

But as far as terrorists NOT taking credit ever, if no one knows WHY the bombing took place then it doesn't serve any purpose. Terrorist acts are supposed to make a strong statement.

UPDATE (12:05PM EDT): Pete Williams of NBC reports that police may be looking for "two accomplices," along with 19 year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

Hmm .. wonder if that's true...

If so .. I am hoping that will be the end of it .. and not dozens more, similar ones......

Good, hopefully that guy will give an interview soon. I was hoping they talked to him and did not just ramble on in Russian for the 30 minute car ride. Maybe they rambling on about why they did this (though the FBI may be keeping that witness hush hush for now).

That man won't be speaking for awhile to media (if ever)... He went through a major ordeal and was plastered naked over international news and FBI enforce strict restraints with witnesses of a crime X

There will be others implicated and likely arrested in this. These young guys got involved with someone in the last year and became convinced this was the right thing to do -- I don't think for a moment they came up with all of this themselves without a strong outside influence.

The family seems nice, who were these guys hanging out with for the last year?

I've been thinking this whole time that these two boys were incredibly brazen to believe they'd get away with this... to just walk into a big event like the Boston Marathon, where there would obviously be a lot of media presence, people in the crowd with cameras, police presence, not to mention the large amount of people to witness the whole thing - it seems so incredibly risky. They weren't even trying to hide their faces, and when they left the scene they seemed far too calm to be innocent bystanders. I've been leaning towards the idea that there may be one or two people behind the scenes that knew whoever planted the bombs WOULD be caught, and used these two instead of doing this themselves. I know that sometimes kids this age can do horrible things like this (any school shooting is a perfect testament to this), but this whole thing seems far too elaborate for two young boys to have carried out on their own.

The fact that they still had so much weaponry with them scares me, it leads me to believe that there was more to the plan.

I was rather appalled at it as well. There was NO reason to keep him naked for an hour, i can see telling him to strip down to check that there were no explosive devices on him b4 the fact he was a victim was clear. But an hour? and then rather than driving him home they just let him loose at a convenience store.

I thought they were still in Cechyna? If they are they are probably being tortured by the Russian FSB ... they don't take too kindly to Checynan terrorists in Russia due to the long running Islamic insurgency.

Does anybody remember when the last time he was seen? I just can't imagine why they haven't found him yet. Unless they dug a hole to hide in like Saddam did.

Imo I think they're martyrs.
