Local t.v. saying brothers from Chechnya - or somewhere near Russia. At least youngest, perp 2, legal U.S. citizen, been here for at least a year.

My head is spinning. Saudi Arabia, Greece, Iraq, Pakistan, Turkey, Afghanistan ... I predict that the media will say they're from Lebanon next.

I think I'm about to give up on keeping up!!

One minute they've been here less than a year, then they've been here 5 years, then the next thing I know they were born here. I'm so mindful of the mess after Newtown because of kneejerk reporting (and the desire of each media agency to be the first to show breaking news) that I don't think I'm going to believe ANYTHING is true until it's confirmed by the FBI. And even then, maybe only after a few months (but I keep thinking back to the Olympics bombing and it took years for the truth to come out with it).

Completely confusing. My head is spinning! This is so true. NY Post put the wrong person on their cover to be the first. Now this teen is stressed thinking people will still think it is him that is responsible for the bombings. Feel so bad for him .

Does anyone else feel sick to their stomach watching this? I have goosebumps!!! Scary times.

Also - very interesting the suspects made NO attempt to mask or cover their identities. Very strange they would do this and stay in the area after the attack. What was their motive and intention AFTER the Boston marathon bombings??? So brazen to stay in the area!

NY is a financial hub. Terrorists attacked the world's wallet. Isn't Boston somewhat similar? Or no?

Also, speculating that they maybe planned to bomb MIT but got caught...why? We're they going to blow up any other institutions?

One Boston Bombing Suspect Is Dead ( link )

Gov. Deval Patrick has suspended service on all public transit services in the MBTA system in Boston, including the “T” subway, buses and commuter trains.

The authorities asked all residents of the towns of Watertown, Newton, Waltham and Cambridge to stay home and stay indoors. Watertown was locked down early Friday morning, with no one allowed to leave their homes and no businesses allowed to open.

“This situation is grave, we are here to protect public safety,” said Col. Tim Alben of the Massachusetts State Police.

“We believe these are the same individuals that were responsible for the bombing on Monday at the Boston Marathon,” Mr. Alben said. “We believe that they’re responsible for the death of an MIT police officer and the shooting of an MBTA officer.”

He also said that one of the suspects, wearing the black hat in the F.B.I. photos, was dead and that the other suspect, in the white hat, was still on the loose.

Early Friday, a virtual army of heavily armed law enforcement officers was still going through houses in Watertown one by one in a search for the second suspect. Police had blocked off a 20-block residential area and urged residents emphatically to stay inside their homes and not answer their doors.

“We are concerned about securing that area and making sure that this individual is taken into custody,” Mr. Davis said. “We believe this to be a terrorist. We believe this to be a man who’s come here to kill people, and we need to get him in custody.”​

Okay if younger brother was student athlete, the bombings were on the marathon, perhaps something happened at the school that he did not agree with?

Not sure of the accuracy of the info in this article. I've only been watching one news channel and even the reporters can't seem to stick to the same info.
