Try not to worry. The routes between here and NYC have tons of cameras, and are very well patrolled and travelled. If he tries to drive it, I feel sure he will be spotted quickly. :hug:

Gardenlady is right this is a heavy populated area... the highways inbetween Boston and New York are heavily traveled. If he is on the roads, they will find him.

I don't understand why they haven't shut the airport down yet. How are all the people coming and going coping with the shutdowns of mass transit and (some) roads?

It has to be a nightmare. I had a family member fly into Logan the other day, and she left the airport in her rental car only to get held up in while the bomb threat at the courthouse was going on (they closed the expressway onramps). This is infinitely worse as far as travel restrictions, so I can't imagine what travelers are doing today!

The two Boston bomb suspects have been identified as brothers who hail from Chechnya but built 'normal' lives in America, making friends and taking part in high school sports.

Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19, is on the run and considered by law enforcement to be armed and extremely dangerous.


Yesterday it emerged he was a medical student at the University of Amherst at U-Mass and a lifeguard at Harvard University



of Cambridge, Mass. His brother, left, Tamerlan Tzarnaev was killed in a shoot-out last night

His father described him as a 'true angel'.


Anzor Tsarnaev spoke with The Associated Press by telephone from the Russian city of Makhachkala.

'My son is a true angel,' he said. 'Dzhokhar is a second-year medical student in the U.S. He is such an intelligent boy. We expected him to come on holidays here.'

His 26-year-old brother, Tamerlan Tzarnaev, was killed in a shootout with police late last night.

Tamerlan died in hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and possible blast injuries after a fierce gun battle late last night.

Law enforcement officials told NBC News that both men are legal permanent residents of the United States and had military experience.

I have taken the Amtrak through Boston, I have jumped on the Amtrak out of North Station (TD Bank Garden) and have never had my ID checked. But you everything is shut down in Boston, everything... Amtrak, MBTA, Taxis, Busses. Everything... Boston as a city is at a standstill which is crazy to me.

Ive never had an ID check on Amtrak, unless I'm paying by credit card for a ticket right at the station.

I saw ID's checked by some plain clothes LE on an Amtrak a couple years back. Only men, so apparently they were looking for a male fugitive. I expect there would be lots of checking today if the trains weren't held up. Maybe anyway in the general geographic area.

I'm glad you're staying inside. They're saying to stay away from windows, which I'm sure you already know.

I'm praying for you. That has to be very scary.
