Agree. Recently bought a $200+ purse, hand painted with koi and waterlilies and am agonizing over it now, planning to send it back. I have never, ever bought anything like that. Could be he didn't really know what her income was?

Or they were both enjoying a nice, under-the-table household income.
Just throwing all possibilities out there...

Are US citizens paying for these high-powered attorneys or are they doing this pro-bono?
Nope, govt paycheck! We all have to remember he was an AMerican Citizen and entitled to representation - it does not say only inexpereinced defense lawyers need apply!

Boston Psychiatrist Wants Accused Bomber's Brain Studied Like a Crime Scene

Omg this is so annoying. This will be the same as the football player that shot himself and his girlfriend, no brain issues just the person. They are both too young to have brain issues and damage from small forces. But yet people jump to that conclusion so the perp isn't at fault. Tired of it

Also, I am all for revoking citizenship and treating him like a prisoner of war!
Innocent till proven guilty - I am not saying that the laws of the land are.

Seems somewhere I briefly remember LE found some unraveled or stripped down fireworks somewhere (can't remember where.) It maybe possible to have a DNA match there or on any unexploded pipe bombs they supposedly seized.

So even though DNA on the pressure cooker maybe hard to connect, other items might connect the dots.

Speaking of I heard of a recipe for making milk caramel (Dulce De Leche) at home with a pressure cooker. I'd try it if I had a pressure cooker.

DT defense team gets a boost:

I thought that it was just representation that was assigned to those that can't afford it. When did it get amended to include THE BEST GOVERNMENT TAX DOLLARS CAN BUY? What am I missing? What kind of precedent is this going to set?

Could be her parents bought them for her. A good friend was engaged to a guy from a wealthy family. He had a very average job, and his parents showered him with gifts, including shoes.

If that's KT's case, then maybe her parents could have hired her a cleaning lady and nanny.

Anderson Cooper just asked the question to one of the experts he interviewed, the answer was "Uncle Sam".

Maybe so; however, she has on occasion returned the fees back to the public coffer for indigent defendants (eg. Susan Smith), so even that's not a given, necessarily, at this point.

Judy Clarke - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It'd be my guess she's primarily taking this on due to its high profile nature, and the professional challenge. JMO.

Interesting coincidence, but apparently peeps don't get to choose the court date for the swearing in (it's court-scheduled), so that's likely all that is...coincidence.

ETA: DT's swearing in...(TT not a citizen). (Good catch, gramcracker.)

If TT was making bombs in the apt during KT's 10-hr workdays, I doubt that 'gift' would have been received. ;)

I give her a pass on the housekeeping if those work hours of hers are proven true. TT was home making the mess all day--it was his job to clean it up if she was out fulltime bringing in the regular income.

Or she was too ashamed to let them know her living conditions?

Where is the one you are talking about?

With the discussion about the number of dead skin cells we shed daily, one posted felt the need to take a shower and I said, "with a loofa".

Apparently the psychiatrist has not read the article about the specialist in traumatic brain injury who said the planning involved in this attack meant TT could not have had the traumatic brain injury associated with boxing. (See several pages back...)
