Texas Couple Confronts Man Following Daughter.

  • #21
The article says the mother and daughter "drove home" so I assumed the daughter lives with her parents. I probably shouldn't assume that, I just got that impression. Thanks for pointing it out cuffem.

I got the same impression, because the article also states:

"Hernandez said her daughter was driving, and neither of them noticed a black
Altima follow them into their neighborhood."

Quote from news article:

"....She and her daughter were on a routine trip to JCPenney. They spent time shopping then returned home...."
I think it was Katy who pointed it out but I have a feeling you are right that she lives at home and that is why they are so alarmed.

There was a case here in NC,UNC I think, were a jogger was attacked in daylight out in the open. She fought him and others helped hold him for police and they found duct tape and knife and a shovel in his car.I do not remember what the outcome was but I am sure he did not get much time because he did not carry out his plans.

Whenever I read of cases like these, I fondly remember my favorite movie of all time: "Death Wish," with Charles Bronson.

Thankx! It says the mother and daughter "returned home" and as you point out they were followed into " their neighborhood. "

So I think it's OK to assume that the stalker knows where the daughter lives (that she lives with her parents) and that there should be something more done about it. Especially since the stalker said/wrote that if he had not been caught, he would have done "much worse" to her.

I'm just very alarmed that LE says nothing can be done and he knows where she lives. Also, it's not likely --at all-- that the first time he does this, just happens to be when he gets caught. No, statistically speaking he's done this before and will continue to do it again.

That's a good point you make about him getting caught in the act his first time. This isn't his first rodeo (as they say).

I used to think peeping tom's were harmless until I learned that this is how rapists get their start usually -- and then go on from there to even worse.

He wrote in his confession something bone chilling. Admitting he was planning to do something "much worse" than stalking her!

They know who he is and someone please tell that entire family to get a restraining order--pronto! Scary, thanks for sharing........

He even wrote an apology letter to the family that said in part, "I want to genuinely apologize for the pain and grief I have caused in a moment of irresponsibility and recklessness... I did a harmful thing and am humbled by the wake-up call I've received,
as it could have been much worse."...........

Yes -- I still have goosebumps after reading the part that said:
"... I did a harmful thing and am humbled by the wake-up call I've received, as it could have been much worse."
Texas couple confronts man accused of following their daughter

Bravo to the family for doing what they did. I agree about getting the restraining order -- it would be more hard evidence against him and put his actions on the record for other LE, etc. It would also be useful to LE if the daughter or someone else is a victim of something similar or worse.

If he was innocently attracted to her he could have walked up and smiled and said hello or here is my number. What will happen when he sees the next attractive girl?He will lay low for awhile until his impulse kicks in again.I really wish they could have held him until police came to check his car but then they could have been harmed or held for breaking some law.

The wake up call for him was to be more cautious in his stalking not him getting caught. And the part about " it could have been much worse", meant if he got caught it would have been much worse for him and her.

What does this creep do all day? Hang out at the mall and watch for attractive young ladies to follow?
He followed her for what intent?
I doubt this is his first time.
Ugh!

If this happened to my daughter, I’d find ways to alert the public- without getting sued for defamation. I am so fed up with these entitled predators. Done!

The stalker is lucky he didn't meet up with more physically aggressive fathers. If my son caught some man stalking his young daughter he wouldn't have been very understanding , at all.

Yeah. Seems like you could be just specific enough to get the info out on social media without stepping over the line. For instance, a description of him and his vehicle, without the license plate or photo, and his MO.

Or someone with a concealed carry : ).
When I hid and caught my stalker by jumping out I was not trying to scare him, my hands and fists were lunging at him to attack because I was so angry when I realized what he was about to do.My anger overcame my fear, plus he was not that big.If he was larger I might not have gone after him but then again I am known to walk up to strange cars parked out front at 1 am and knock on the window.I just did this last week.

BBM - That's because it's embedded in our culture to make you think it's harmless or "just boys being boys". And we come to accept it as such. It's dangerous and sends boys and girls the wrong message.

A perfect example of this conditioning is Fez from "That 70's Show"... throughout the entire 8 seasons he continuously watches Donna change, sleep and even have intercourse with her boyfriend while he watches from the her closet. And every time he's caught, it's just a "funny moment" with the audience background laugh.

Even Ashton Kutcher, who plays Kelso in the show continuously tries to walk in on Donna while changing because he's jealous the other boys got to see her tatas once. Donna always gets mad and yells at him every time. Towards the end of the show series she gives up and just shows him her tatas so he will finally stop and leave her alone... and then he faits because "they're so amazing". And again.... just another "funny moment" of him fainting.

That essentially says if you keep harassing women when they say no, then they'll eventually give up. Essentially says if you creepily watch women in the privacy of their bedroom it's just funny! No consequences! Sooooo messed up.

Sorry for the rant lol.

He is 37 not a stupid teen. He is dangerous. Thank God the parents saw and followed him as he followed the daughter.

The bigger issue is what is this man up to in the long run. If the family gets a restraining order and the local media pick it up the whole area will be onto him. I just worry for those who are alone with him trying to repress his urges.....or act on them.

He'll probably just move.

I'd be willing to bet that the parents and their daughter do not even know his identity. I'll bet they were not told his name or anything about him by LE.

So true. It's my opinion that this stalker (no name given) is escalating his behavior .

Not all voyeurs are rapists, but all rapists have been voyeurs

"...Many sexual predators said when window peeping became routine, they needed more thrilling behaviors to become sexually stimulated. Their actions would escalate to burglary when residents weren't home, to cat burglary when people were home, and eventually to sexual assault. The importance of window coverings can't be over-emphasized..."

"...In the last 25 years, criminals have been interviewed for criminal profiling studies, and researchers have learned almost all rapists and serial killers started their criminal “careers” with various levels of window peeping..."

My question is... how do they know it's not the first time he's stalked her? Because he said so?

There needs to be an investigation. The JC Penny trip was apparently "routine" for the mama and daughter. He could have stalked her around JC Penny before... and it escalated to following her home this time around.
