Texas mom stabs her five children, killing three; Arrested

  • #21
The children had been previously placed by CPS under the guardianship of another relative.

Sources with CPS told WFAA that Hall allegedly stabbed her children when a CPS worker, who suspected the mother was having unsupervised visitations with her children, arrived at the scene to check on her unannounced.
Who is Shamaiya Hall? North Texas woman arrested after allegedly stabbing, killing 3 of her kids

1) who was this other relative who had the care and custody of the children via CPS placement? I would like to see what consequence they will face, if any, for allowing the mother to have the unsupervised visit that allowed mother the opportunity to do this monstrous thing to her own children.
2) how did the CPS worker come to suspect said unsupervised visits? At least that CPS worker was attempting to avert this horrible tragedy.

IMO the person who was supposed to have custody of those kids should also be under arrest.

Wow. I don't think I've ever heard of sisters both stabbing their kids to death.
Clearly there's something not right mentally with them.
Tragic.

Edit- Just noticed the article said her sister had just come back from a psychiatric facility before killing her daughter.
I saw a true programme a while ago about twins Jean and Jane Hopkins (?) which was quite similar. IIRC only one of them was successful in killing her children while her sister had previously tried to do the same to her own children. It was interesting because it was as if the 1st sister had delusions and recovered from them only for the same delusions to “transfer” to the 2nd sister years later. I’m sorry I can’t find an acceptable link in UK search results, maybe there will be one in a US search.

Seriously, these children had fathers. Who was helping? Who impregnated her? Where was he/were they? Where have al the daddies families been? Her family? All these fathers and grandparents and no one is watching what is happening?

Do men think they have no rights?

Take your kids from the psychos.

She didn't go from June Cleaver to savage overnight.

No one noticed a thing. Even after her sister killed her own child.

So tragic.

Why so much talk about fathers on this case? I could go on and on and list the mothers who have killed their children while dad was at work, running out to get food, taking a nap, divorcing them, living elsewhere, etc. Let's blame all of the fathers every time a woman harms her children. Unless dad is the one who left the children in her care when he was told not to or should have known better (we've seen this before), then maybe we should withhold our judgement. MOO

A proverb/truism, but indeed it takes a village to raise a child.

Where was the d*mn village for the 6 of them???

There are fathers, there are grandparents, there are neighbors. Surely someone outside of Child Protective Services knew what happened to the cousin?

Who had custody of these kids, and failed to protect them? Who allowed this woman to have that unsupervised visit that cost 3 innocents their lives & forever changed the surviving two?

imho of course
