Found Safe Thailand - Shane Marsden, 28, British citizen, 7 March 2017

Shane Marsden was travelling with his girlfriend in New Zealand. They broke up and he went off on his own. On Tuesday he texted his mother (who is in the UK) saying he was sorry. Nobody has been able to contact him since.

The police traced his phone to Thailand. Nobody had known he was there.

Shane apparently uses the surname Evans a lot.

However 2 days after the last one mentioned in the report, she has posted that they had contact to Shane and were working on getting him home!

And he arrived home!

Officers met Shane Marsden when his plane landed at Heathrow last night to check his welfare.

Shane then returned home to Gloucester with his family.
