I Was Wondering If Anybody Had Ever Posted About These 2 Unsolved Brutal Horrible Murders Of 29 Yer Old Susan Griffiths In July 1978, and 21 Year Old UCLA Medical Center Nurse Melanie Howell April,23 1976

Detective Cliff Shepard served 37 years with the LAPD before retiring a year-and-a-half ago. He spent his last decade on the force in the cold case unit, digging through old unsolved murder files ...






Both were found brutally stabbed to death n their own homes,Susan in her house, in Clinton Township Michigan and she was a divorced single mother living with her two boys ages 6 and 8 who found her bloodied and dead and ran to the neighbor's house.






Melanie was found beaten,bound,and stabbed to death in her apartment by a man who her neighbor saw and heard knock on Melanie's door and first they had a cordial conversation,and then there was the sounds of screams and broken glass,and neighbor's saw a young man walking outside her apartment complex wearing a red shirt( I'm sure as a camouflage so people wouldn't see her blood splattered on his shirt from a distance,and he was carrying a briefcase likely with the murder weapon(s) in it.





Also 13 year old Kathy Gloddy who was raped,beaten and then run over with a car in November 1971.

Melanie Amber Howell (1953-1976) - Find A Grave...





I found a few pictures of Susan Griffiths as a very young woman and a picture of her elderly mother,Susan's maiden name was Cavanary.





And on the site Documenting Reality they showed a black and white picture of Susan's exhumed face from March 2003 as examples of embalming done right and her face was very well preserved she almost looked unconscious almost 25 years after her death.

Susan was actually only 28 not 29, I found out from some site which I can't find again now,that Susan was born in December 1949,it says on ancestry.com that she was born in 1949,and her mother's name was Clara Ivy Redstone and there is a picture of her taken in 1987,
