The 6 minute phone call when JH failed to talk to anyone

If this is true and he had actually spoken to LH, she knew the facts BEFORE she went to the daycare center to pick up Cooper so why would she go to where RH worked instead of the scene?

Actually this could be a logical reason why she said that at day care. She gets call from JRH but doesn't believe him!! She goes to daycare to pick up cooper and he's not there. So she says out loud "he left him in the car..." Like omg it's true.

Interesting...if she tells the truth there's no reason to panic and leave the courtroom. It would be very frightening to go in a court on live tv, but sometimes you must be brave.

Well>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I'm going to guess and say that dad was POSSIBLY having a show and tell with this person? NOT at that exact time at the child care center mind you but maybe he knew this teacher intimately.
I just find it weird that he called the childcare center and was on the line for 6 min. when he'd only stopped his car a few min. before.
sum ting wong

This witness is not the teacher (MG) that's been discussed. I don't even know if the witness that did not testify (MS) is even a daycare teacher or what.

What time did she go to pick the child up?

well, remember, she was to be a character witness for the defendant. She may have heard something that made her rethink that entirely while waiting out there in the hall. Or the emergency may not have been hers, but a child's. We just don't know at this point. jmo

I find medical emergency very interesting!
Why? Why would she refuse to testify?

If it is a person from daycare, she may have had a ' nervous' emotional trauma type of thing. That is classed ' medical' even if it's not the physical body. Daycare workers spend more time with children than parents since parents put them to bed in a few hours after work . I would suspect daycare workers could get very attached to their little kids they tend. She may have been overcome with emotional and unable to as opposed to refuse . **Speculative**

Panic attack, breakdown. yes, that makes sense I understand that.

But the witness MS was simply supposed to be there as part of the bond character witness portion of the hearing I thought? And those witnesses were kept from the earlier part of the hearing I thought so its not like that witness could imagine what she would be blindsided with (info about sexting etc).

Sure wish we knew how she knows the Harrises and what she was to attest to about them.

Anyone know who she is without sleuthing private info? For example personal family friend? Daycare worker?

Well by that token , if she were a character witness for him, she could still be suffering an emotional episode. He may have filled her head with loads of lies and she thought she was testifying about a ' good man' until she heard all the details.

6 minutes. That is an enormous amount of time to spend on the phone during a crisis!! Time would seem to stop in any emergency situation. This is nuts. Did he forget to "end call" or was he actually talking to someone. Can't wait to find out. JMO

Isn't this the phone call he was on when the female police officer asked him twice to get off the phone and he said, "no" and "**** off" or fu to the officer?

Can you people use actuall names instead of initials .It makes for very confusing reading and trying to understand who everyone is you almost guarantee you wont get any new posters to the thread because not everyone goes back to the thread one and figure it all out anybody joining the discussion like i did have absolutly no clue who your talking about
I completely agree! I don't understand why we are supposed to use initials for Cooper, Ross, and Leanna. I understand for those people who have been innocently dragged into the case. But otherwise it drives me nuts too, especially if I'm new to a case!!!

Reading this explains how so much false information gets started. I wonder what was actually said that was repeated on as "he had dropped one child off at daycare"

Two men were trying to perform CPR when the police showed up, Smith said.

“‘What did I do? My baby’s dead,’” Smith said the father said. Then, the father got on his cell phone, and Smith said he heard the man tell his wife, “Our son is dead.”

One thing I've been wondering about in the "modern age"... I get the witnesses are kept out of the courtroom so they don't hear prior testimony. However, are their cell phones, tablets, & other means of communication being held from them? I can see NOT in case there is an emergency and they need to be reached. However, if that's the case ... we're all watching live feed at home, people twitter out details, etc... if you're a witness, can you have access to ANYTHING that can clue you into the going-ons of the courtroom? If so, I think I know what kind of "medical emergency" might have happened... but I'm sometimes wrong.. JMO

I definitely think we need a "cast of characters" thread on cases like these -- if we can somehow have them available to add & edit as the case progresses and new players come into focus. I wonder if there's a way to "lock" those threads from public view? I agree there are cases I pop in and out of as time allows and feel like I don't know who anybody is or what's going on.... and then the Anthony case with THREE "CA" initials????? Took me a few pages to catch up as to who was who & what was what then I had to go back and reread so I could put it in correct context.

I also think an "established facts" thread and a "timeline" thread would be useful -- possibly one and the same? If we could submit those things to either mods or assigned persons who have the ability to edit and update.... with no discussion?

Oh, wow, clicked the link and saw EXACTLY what you're talking about.

I think in this day that media is scrambling to post online faster than competitors and aren't properly proofreading & editing -- happens with local news here all the time (whether it be something as minorly irritating as spelling or something major like incorrect facts).

Hello, MSM! Yeah, YOU! Even if you "miss the scoop" by seconds online, you would have MORE CREDIBILITY if you took the time to proofread & edit!

IMO

The next witness that was being called before the church lady was Melissa Sellers (spelling??). ETA: Since the person was being called between his cop brother and his church friend to say that he is not a flight risk, I assume that this person would also be about to testify on his behalf.

Now, with that being said - maybe someone can open up a new thread so that we can analyze the hearing bit by bit. This one is about the 6 minute phone call.

I didn't realize the brother was a cop. I need to watch his testimony again.
