The 90 minutes Terri spent driving around--Do you believe it?

Do you believe Terri drove around for 90 minutes strictly to calm a fussy baby?

Shoot...I didn't even catch that. Thanks Gwen. I don't think she's too far off with the times though. I just plugged in the Cracker Barrel Restaurant just on the other side of the Sauvie Bridge and it says 28 min between it and the 2nd FM store. Then, 27 minutes back to 24 Hr Fitness.

It doesn't make a lot of difference, but could mean 5 minutes here or there difference on the timeline.

You're right but since this is all theoretical anyway...thought I'd give it a try.
Using Bean's logic here:

10:00am - left 2nd FM store drive to SI
10:28am - Arrive on Sauvie Island

11:08am - Leave Island (27 min drive back)
11:35 - Arrive 24Hr Parking lot, getting baby out of car (allowing plenty of time here)
11:39 - Check into 24Hr Gym

It's at least 40 minutes of time for her to do something on the Island.
Side note: I am not 100% convinced she did this herself but I like Bean's excercise. I also used Google Map times which seem to be pretty accurate from what we've tested out here.
ETA: fixing my own math and slowly backing away from the computer...LOL!

Second (and last) try:

Trying to figure out a timeline incorporating Sauvie Island.

- According to the most recent information from LE, in the LE/DA flier from the press conference of August 11, LE appears to have Terri's timeline as follows:

8:15 to 8:45am - at Skyline Elementary school

9:00am - Fred Meyer supermarket, Cornelius Pass, 22075 NW Imbrie Rd, Hillsboro

10:00am - Fred Meyer supermarket, Walker Rd, 15995 SW Walker Rd, Beaverton

10:15 to 11:30am - (75 min/1hr 15 min) on or near Skyline Blvd between approx Springville Rd and Newberry Rd, including on or around Germantown Rd and/or Old Germantown Rd

http://www.mcso.us/public/newsroom/081110_PressConferenceFlier.pdf

- Per the two MSM news articles on Terri's timeline, and Terri's emails:

11:39am - 24-hour Fitness gym, 1265 NW Waterhouse Ave, Beaverton, OR 97006

[ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5551342&postcount=260"]Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community - View Single Post - Sources detail Terri’s timeline day Kyron disappeared #2[/ame]

- Per Google Maps, the drive time from the 2nd Fred Meyer on Walker Rd to the intersection of NW Sauvie Island Rd and NW Gillihan Rd, just on the other (island) side of the bridge to Sauvie Island, is 27 to 28 minutes (12.1 to 20.1 miles).

- Per Google Maps, the drive time from the same intersection on Sauvie Island to the 24 hour fitness gym in Beaverton is 26 to 27 minutes (11.3 to 19.3 miles).

- Assuming, therefore, the minimum drive times from Google Maps, with arrival on the bridge to Sauvie Island at (10:00am plus 27 minutes = ) 10:27am, and departure from the bridge to Sauvie Island at (11:39am - 26 minutes = ) 11:13am, that would give Terri approximately (10:27 to 11:13) 46 minutes to drive from just on the island side of the bridge to a location on Sauvie Island and dispose of Kyron's body. Plenty of time.

(I'd appreciate it if someone would double check the maps and math (again). TIA.)

I had to go back and fix mine too but I think we're close now. 40-45 minutes of time on the island! Great work BEAN!

If LE has surveillance video of Terry leaving the 2nd FM, that might give them the start time of Terry's unaccounted time, starting at 9:45, conformation of ck in time at the gym 11:39. That gives an extra 24 min. added to the 90 min. No wonder Des. is upset about not being able to account for her time. I think LE has the evidence, they, drat, just won't share it with us.

Take into consideration that she had her baby with her and that one doesn't warp from one place to another. All these factors have to be taken into consideration when developing a theory and time line, many minutes will be tied up in logistics narrowing the area and time available. There may have been much less time to get anything accomplished than we think. If she did anything maybe she dropped the baby off with Dede first but this would mean that Dede could have known Kyron's condition at that time.

This could have been something to do with her very cryptic statement "I told them everything I know but it wasn't what they wanted to hear." Something tells me there has been a report of a live Kyron after 9am from someone, otherwise there would be no reason for the relentless pursuit of Terri. I think LE should have been more forthcoming with what is known as it might have bought a more timely resolution.

Thank you BeanE and loves2bmom, you saved me a lot of time looking for all that and math is not my forte anyway!

At this point, since they're looking all over SI for him, I'm assuming they are indeed looking for a body and that they no longer believe him to be hidden somewhere (if they ever did).

So, in this scenario (guessing that Kyron's body was disposed of on SI between the time she left the second FM and the time she arrived at the gym) that LE thinks that TH drove a round with a dead Kyron all morning (being as no one has said they saw him with her at either of the FM stores). So if this is what LE is assuming, I wonder when they think she killed him. At the school? On her way to the first FM?

IDK, even though the timeline seems to work, why in Gods name wouldn't she just take him directly to her dump site at SI and then run the rest of her day?

None of this makes any sense to me, but then I'm not a murderer so maybe that's why. I suppose if it was an accidental death, it might make sense as she would have been too upset and couldn't figure out what to do. But going to Freddy's? If it was a planned murder, and she put him in some sort of container and left the school with him in that, then why drive around all morning before going to your disposal site. IDK This scenario just doesn't make sense to me.

I wish I knew what LE knows, then maybe it would all make sense.

If its a 75 minute window then it gives about 20 minutes on the island.

If its a 90 minute window then it gives about 35 minutes on the island.

If in fact Terri was the one that took Kyron from the school, which we don't know for sure if it went un witnessed, she had to make an alibi for herself immediately, after leaving the school, which she did, with the 2 FM. It wouldn't take much to have a 7 year old wait in the truck, while you ran into the stores. He could have a hand held game to entertain himself while she ran in. I believe she parked as far from the entrance, to both stores, that she could. I don't believe she drove around with a deceased Kyron. IMO the 90 min. or so were driving to her destination to dispose of him and back to the gym. He could have very well been alive, until she reached her destination, and did what ever the hell-o she did with him.MOO

Hi, This post is about the parking at the Jone's Farm facility at INTEL. I couldn't find a good thread to post this info, so here goes, but hopefully a MOD can put in a more appropriate thread if we have one.

There has been discussion about the parking situation at INTEL where Kaine works, posters wondering if there is video surveillance there. I just got off the phone with my boss' wife who has worked in Admin there for many years. So I asked her if there are any cameras in the parking lots at INTEL.

The family biz is security and so she is very knowlegable about video surveillance. I was mighty surprised as she started talking about Kyron's case and has been following it all along. LOL Small world, but then they live out in that area close to Skyline Hill so I wasn't really that surprised she knew about the ping on SI, that Terri said in her email to KOIN she did drive on Hwy #30 that morning, etc.

So she told me NO, there are no cameras that she has ever seen in the parking areas at the Jones Farm facility or the other Intel location close to Cornelius Pass Rd. I think Kaine worked at Jones Farm, right?

Quizzing her a bit further, I asked if there are multi level parking garages at either facility. The answer again was NO.

At Jones Farm all the parking is in open lots. The other facility might have some up and down parking - not much, but access to that is open without having to go thru a barrier, there are no attendants and no parking stubs are given. So at both places one can just drive in and park with no interruption and no visual.

This seems... completely amazing... One can't get even fairly close to the Microsoft campus without being eyeballed, both virtually and literally.

This is way OT and probably even over the line but there ARE security cameras in the parking lot. I have a friend who works there. Must have security badge to open the door etc.

It makes sense ; there are huge amounts of $$$ at stake. Any cutting edge R & D facility is at risk for industrial espionage. It's just common sense that a lot of security would be used MOO....

I worked at a semiconductor plant in the Portland area for a couple years. Much smaller than Intel. You bet your life there were security cameras on the parking lot! They watched who was coming and going at all times. Every part of the parking lot was on camera all day and all night. Just because the casual eye can't see them doesn't mean they aren't there!

I agree. I still just can't get past Kaine using both the truck and the Mustang. None of it makes sense to me. :(

The truck might very well be the car Kyron died in. He might feel more comfortable in the mustang. Probably better gas mileage too.

Doesn't Terri have her car?

  • #357
She probably couldn't even pay for the insurance and gas at this point.

Just speculation, but if Kyron made her mad and acted up at school, he could have been taken back home and something done there. She could have left the school earlier than 8:45. So much focus on actively working with Kryon, unnecessary daily behavior reports, his behavior, mini seizures, and allegedly wanting him to stay all evening in his room for infractions. Lots of focus on the home and school. Maybe they should look better all around the home and neighborhood, just like happened with Caylee. Unless someone else had her phone as a diversion then Kyron would have to be near the school and home or out where she drove. That is, if he were harmed and not taken by someone.

Great work, BeanE (as always).

Here's a suggestion. Maybe a local would like to try to replicate that a.m. Caveat: be objective, not trying this to prove that TH did it or didn't do it.

Get a toddler you have to care for. Go to Skyline School on a school day. Leave from parking lot between 8:45 and 9:00 a.m. Note: if TH said she left Kyron at 8:45, I'd bet it takes a couple of minutes to get to parking lot, get self and baby in car, etc. etc and I doubt she left exactly at 8:45.

So cut the difference and leave parking lot at 8:52 a.m.

Then follow the timeline, including getting toddler out, going into store. Whatever is on the timeline, do it. Buy something. And if TH got a Starbuck's, get one at the exact same place. How much time did that take?

Take tape recorder, make note of times at turns onto roads, parking at store, etc. etc.

Report back!

A couple of us have already done portions of the timeline (without borrowing a toddler....ROFL). It matches pretty accurately with Google maps. Haven't done the Sauvie part yet though. I also had wanted to make the trek on a Friday morning just for comparison. Can't do it this week...maybe next?
