From reader over at findstacypeterson.com it seems the pool man that sold Drew the chlorine thought it was an awful lot for an above ground pool..well out of the ordinary. He went to the police and gave them info about the purchase.

Hold on, let me get my crystal ball out. Hmmmm, let's see...It says that "according to Drew", this guy is a liar.

Chlorine can be used to make bombs. Maybe LE should get Homeland Security involved. Not that I think he was making a bomb, but I'd like to see his lawyer try to stop Homeland Security from questioning him about what he did with the 30 gallons of chlorine, and the barrel.

I have always thought that because of terrorism laws that you would have to prove a need for that much. I mean you can't buy much fertilizer without showing you have a legitmate need for it.

Still there is no way he dumped 30 gallons of chlorine in it. That much would likely damage the liner.
I agree. Besides, why bother with it AFTER taking it home when a block away is a body of water in which to dump it on the way home after buying it?

It must be tough on Drew to be the only person in his world that is both sane, faithful, and truthful. I feel for him.

Did I say both, and then state 3 traits? oops.

Don't forget a great kisser, too.

(Yes, you did, but I corrected it for you.)

Seems they should be able to figure out where he dumped that much chlorine; there should be some evidence.

I would want to figure out where he could have disposed of a large blue barrel without it being noticed. Seems they should be able narrow down the search considerably.

From the number of big blue barrels they are finding, I think he could dump it just about anywhere and not have it noticed for a while.

I would figure out why there are so many blue barrels laying around, and think of a place where one of these blue barrels could be disposed of, that nobody could, or would, bother to look at. It's either, out of sight, or??

It has to be out of sight, othwerwise there is a very good chance, that it would eventually be found, and looked at.

The blue barrel's role in Stacy's disappearance is still speculation.

The blue barrel did exist though according to both Cassandra and Sharon.

However, he may have only wanted a certain amount, less than the original amnt, to help speed up decomposition. He may have tossed Stacy in a shallow grave, predug, poured what was left in the barrel over Stacy's body and then tossed it somewhere else on the way home. These blue barrels seem to turn up everywhere, so finding the exact barrel is going to be like looking for a needle in a haystack. I don't think Stacy's body was ever in the barrel..I think the barrel serves two purposes, the contents speed up decomposition and the barrel also throws everyone off in the search..because she was never there..she was in the huge rubbermaid container until she was dumped/ buried by Drew.

Wow! Excellent points. Never thought of all that and now it feels like all the attention on the barrel has been a red herring all along.

I looked it up and couldn't find anything to indicate that chlorine would have any effect on decomposition. Not saying that it doesn't, but I couldn't find anything.

A source familiar with the investigation said that at about
7 p.m., Drew Peterson picked up his relative from a park and the two went to a local coffee shop.

After a short time, Drew Peterson told the relative he had to go somewhere and left the man at the coffee shop with a cell phone, along with instructions that the relative should not answer if it should ring, the source said. The relative waited for some time, and the phone rang, showing the name "Stacy" on the caller ID, the source said.

A brief time later, Drew Peterson returned to the coffee shop, the source said. Drew Peterson and the relative then drove to the Petersons' home on
Pheasant Chase Court
, the source said. Drew Peterson asked the relative to help him move something from the home into the Petersons' sport-utility vehicle, the source said.

The two men went to an upstairs bedroom and removed a large covered and sealed 4-foot-long rectangular plastic container and placed it in the SUV, the sources familiar with the case said.

It isn't anything that would be used in the decomposition of a body.

That may be true, but Drew might have thought it would help.

Who knows. It could have just been the right size container at the moment.

Although tagalong's post indicates the container was "rectangular". I can sort of see a barrel being described as rectangular, but that fellow surely knows the difference between a barrel and a rectangular container!

This is very interesting! It sounds like he was trying to set up her disappearance if this is true. Do you have a link?

Thanks for the info!

Big clue here, tagalong. Don't answer the phone? Mmmmm. "Call" from Stacy? Sounds like he went home or somewhere and used her phone to "call" him. He could use that later to show Stacy called him at a certain time and that she was "alive".
