Hi all, haven't posted here lately, but still lurk often. I did have a question/comment about the insurance policies listed. Several of them are travel policies. Being a former travel agent, one would normally purchase these type of policies only when they were traveling. The insurance was used either as a trip cancellation policy, or as an accidental death while traveling policy. For example, one of the policies listed states airline $3. That was definitely used for an air travel policy. Do we have ANY way of finding out where they traveled during the times of these policies? Could we contact the insurance companies (some may no longer be around though)? I am sure this was asked before, but were no passports found in the BFH?

We were able, after a great deal of red tape, to obtain copies of GW's passport applications. His last passport application was made while he still had a valid passport (the one which would have had all the entry and exit stamps in it) which he claimed had been destroyed in a fire.

In November 1972, GW wrote a check to Wisconsin Cheeseman in the amount of $4.95. I don't know if he was there in person or ordered some food in the mail.

The Wisconsin Cheeseman is solely mail order aside from their "outlet" store which is located at the warehouse, in Sun Prairie Wisconsin. I don't know how long the outlet store has been open. It's most likely it was ordered via mail.

Here is a list of bank transactions from Oct 72 - April 73. I haven't taken the time yet to compare the gas charges to the insurance policies. So probably under the gasoline charges, the small amounts are most likely for insurance policies.
Another thing to mention, the payments for child support are the only ones listed from 1969-73. Meaning prior to Oct 72, he withdrew the money and purchased a money order.

I wonder why he would purchase gas twice in one day? For example, on 1-11-73 he purchased gas 2 times from 2 different stations, and on 1-12-73 he purchased gas twice from 2 more. That's 4 gas purchases in 2 days.

On another note under education, would Regents UC, be Berkeley?? That could be the tie to the Sigrid I was looking at a few months ago.

I can see him not having Annasmoms new last name, but certainly Anna's last name would not have changed with the marriage and there was no indication Annasmom ever made any formal anything to have Joe Ford adopt Anna. Could that have been an indication of him further seperating himself from Anna?

I don't have the actual cancelled check, just what he wrote in the check register. One time its listed as Anna Christian Eifee _______, the next month is Anna Christian __ __, then the last time he listed Anna Christian Eifee Waters. It's just easier to keep them listed as one name when getting reports. If I listed them how he had them, they would show up in different locations.
