Ray of sunshine! Beaming Sophie Wessex decorates Valentine's Day biscuits and reads youngsters stories on a visit to a children's hospice

I've always liked Sophie and I hope we get to see more of her in the coming months and years. Not sure Edward is as good at public engagements as she is.

We are lacking men in the "senior royal" category; there's only really Charles and William doing the day-to-day stuff now. Good job we have Elizabeth, Anne, Camilla, Sophie, Kate, Bea & Eugenie to do the majority of the jobs!

Beatrice’s wedding date was changed twice because of the scandal and was also originally meant to be a bigger affair.

I hope she will truly be at peace with whatever it is reduced to and not have any regrets about how it ultimately turns out.

Princess Beatrice's Wedding Date Was Changed 'Two Times' Due to Prince Andrew's Scandal

This is another "a source told People magazine" report. They only got engaged in September so I think it's unlikely anything was booked and had to be changed just because of Andrew. Quite possible the announcement was delayed and they waited for things to settle before making firm plans. Harry did the Yorks a favour, I guess, by taking them off the front pages!

Looks like a great job on Diana’s outfit, but is anyone else a bit uncertain about the casting for Diana? Nothing against this actress, and I’m not sure who could play Diana, but... Maybe she will give one heck of a performance and I'll be amazed.

She certainly looks like Diana to me, but I still think it's in bad taste to have this storyline in the show. I won't be watching. I am worried it will be disrespectful.

Diana had a very unique look, she was one of the most elegant women ever and I think her 'presence' is very difficult to copy. Looks like she's doing a good job though.

I’m addicted to the show so will definitely give this season a shot. I’m just not sure I will enjoy anyone playing Diana. It’s all still so very fresh in our minds, how she spoke and how she moved.

They have had the sense to make this the final season.

I do think it’s likely that it is going to be scaled down from what she initially imagined. And she might be fine with that. I hope she is. I have some regrets about my wedding and so I always hope others do not.

What aspects did you regret (you don't have to answer if you don't feel comfortable)? I hope maybe Beatrice is a bit relieved of having to scale down - the pressure to have a big royal wedding most be massive, even for someone who would want a big wedding anyways.

I didn’t want a big wedding, but mine was so terribly small. I only got one thing I really wanted. It’s not something I look back on as my big day...at all.

So, you know, I really hope she’s ok with not having a carriage because a lot of regular people in my area even want that (not me, but plenty of people I’ve known, except it’s a country carriage here). Just stuff like that. I hope she doesn’t have to forego anything she envisioned her whole life is all.

The Duchess of Cambridge was very brave to hold that snake today I would have run a mile. I’m terrified of snakes.

Thank you for sharing, Jane! I'm sorry you didn't get your dream wedding. I didn't even think about the carriage aspect. I hope if she wants one, she can have one.

lol. Pictures of homes they are not buying.

why would they live in Montreal? It is very French.

And the US is filled with scary violence. Although celebrities seem to be able to move around freely in NYC
Its violent everywhere. And, Montreal is beautiful and a great culture . French is part of the Canadian culture. MOO

I don't see Prince Harry's speaking engagement being about his mother's horrific accident but moreso about mental illness ensuing from that horrific accident.

Both Prince William and Prince Harry are known to have a passion for mental health initiatives that promote awareness of the stigma of mental illness. Whether someone died 25 years ago or 2 years ago, the effect on loved ones is unique to the individual. The fact that PH only started therapy 7 years ago and obviously still deals with issues related to his mother's tragic death, is evidence that his life experience was severely affected by his unique circumstances. I don't think any "get over it" approach is in order in any case where a person is experiencing such long term grief.

I don't know that PH has previously "profited" from speaking engagements any different than other members of the BRF profited from theirs. If the Queen pays her children for their speaking engagements they carry out on her behalf, I fail to see how that differs from Prince Harry receiving money from wealthy private individuals who are willing to pay him for his speaking engagements based on his own knowledge and personal experience with mental illness.

What's the difference between former presidents and first ladies who can command $2000 to $3000 for tickets to their speaking engagements, and PH who is being vilified for doing basically the same thing given his own life experience?
