What Kate Wore - The go-to source on Kate's style for fans, fashion writers, trend watchers.
The Duchess also brought back her Simple Filigree Short Drop Earrings (£5, now sold out) by British retailer Accessorize.

It amazes me Kate wears 5£ earrings (US$6.00)! I love these too. She seems so real.

Oh bummer. Probably for the best though

The Crown will end after its fifth series, with Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and Prince Andrew's recent scandals escaping dramatisation on the hit show.

The final series, which will see Imelda Staunton play Queen Elizabeth II, is expected to run until 2003, missing out Prince Harry and Meghan stepping down as senior royals and Prince's Andrew's scandalous friendship with billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Show creator Peter Morgan told The Sun ending the show after series five, felt natural.

I thought Seasons 1 and 2 were really fantastic. I thought Season 3 was good but it felt more like each episode was an independent story and there wasn't much of an over-arching theme like there was in Seasons 1 & 2. I also think they really wrote Princess Anne out of Season 3 - they portrayed her as a party girl when she was at the time an Olympic Equestrian. I know there's only so much you can put into a show but I thought it was a real miss to leave out her accomplishments completely.

Remember when Kate & William got married and we all got an extra bank holiday? We sat in a park all day with a big screen showing the wedding, having a picnic and loads of Pimms. Awww, happy days!

I was still in Ireland then, we got no bank holiday but I closed early and got home in time for the wedding. My mother phoned and we watched it 'together'. She was also a huge royal wedding fan. Pimms in the park would have been great.

Who here is old enough to remember the Silver Jubilee in 1977? Street parties were held up and down the country, flags everywhere, loads of food and fancy dress competitions and stuff. It's one of my earliest memories and is a bit sketchy as I was only 3 years old, but I remember all the bunting threaded across the road and a long table right down the middle, and it being so colourful and noisy, all the mums and dads in a good mood (probably drunk) and us kids running all over the place.

Can't remember much about the Golden Jubilee in 2002. It was probably me who was drunk for that one :p

Too young to remember much of the silver jubilee,
I know there were celebrations, special postage stamps, coins and medals

I was 8 or 9 and remember it. It was a huge deal. We also had a long table, feels like it ran the length of the road. Bunting all along it. Wonder what we ate? Fairy cakes, Cheesy Wotsits, sausage rolls, cheese and pineapple hedgehogs...?

Tiara's worn by HRH Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester (wife of HRH Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, cousin to the Queen)

The Duke and Duchess are working royals

I remember when I was about six, going to an outdoor event at the home of the Gloucesters. It was packed with people and the toilet facilities were awful...the men's were okay, but they didn't have enough for women!

But the nice thing I remember about it was their family walking amongst the crowds, and I remember seeing baby Lady Rose* (youngest daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester) in her pram, and I loved that!

*Actually I can't remember if I was there when their middle child, Lady Davina was in the pram or if it was the youngest, Lady Rose.

But the Duke and Duchess were just walking around through the crowds with either one or two young/toddler children plus the baby in the pram. It felt quite informal despite the crowds.

Ah, I was in London that summer, traveling with a friend & her parents. I have a short length of British flag bunting in a trunk at my Dad's, my friend & I each had a real sixpence in our shoes for our weddings!

Mr. Laughing & I really want one of these:

to join the other Triumphs in our garage but alas, that's not likely to happen.

Enjoyed sharing your celebration and your wonderful HRH Elizabeth II!

Is Hello! Magazine considered MSM? It has a cute little article about Princess Beatrice sending some of her fans hand-written notes, thanking them for the well-wishes after announcing her engagement! What a nice thing to do.

DM reporting Princess Beatrice’s wedding won’t be at Windsor, but The Queen is offering Buckingham Palace for the reception.

Which is confusing to me - so Beatrice has to hunt for a church?

And NO DATE?

I thought it was going to be in “ the spring”, which isn’t far off

I guess my invitation must have been lost in the mail.....

Just had a quick read of the article. It says it will probably be in a chapel in central London, which makes sense in terms of proximity to the palace. Probably, tho?! Surely they have it all sorted in reality. I wonder if this vagueness and no date is a bid to keep it on the low down from the press.

Hope I'm wrong in a way, it would be a shame if her special day has to be worked around potential press dramas.

OK - Any guesses on the chapel for Beatrice’s wedding?

( My choice would be Westminister Abbey, but I’m probably more on the Goth side than Beatrice)
