Looking at this picture I forgot that Prince Charles had really curly hair. By the time I was born he was already balding. I never saw him with plentiful hair.

Thanks for providing the link, though I'm not sure if I should click on it. I feel kind of guilty helping the DM make money off of stuff like that. Are the BAFTA's something William either would or should care about? What do you guys think? It's my opinion that the more the royals can distance themselves from Show Biz the better it is for their longevity. What do you think?

The question might not be the most appropriate for this thread. The topic of race has not gone historically smooth on this thread.
The BAFTA issue isn't about "show biz", it was about the lack of diversity.

Kate Middleton 'misses' her close bond with Prince Harry, source claims | Daily Mail Online

‘The Duchess of Cambridge 'misses' her close bond with Prince Harry and worries she'll 'never be close to him again,' a source has claimed.

The comments come after the Duke of Sussex, 35, and Meghan Markle, 38, announced they were 'stepping back' as 'senior royals' - before boarding separate planes to Canada with son Archie, eight months.

But according to the insider, Kate Middleton, 38, has been left crying over the distance between herself and her brother-in-law.

'She wishes she could speak to Harry,' the source told Us Weekly. 'She misses him and fears she'll never be close to him again.'

Oh booohooo (if this is even true, considering the source).

Did Catherine expect Harry would stay single forever? It's like none of this family can accept that Harry's first priority now is to his wife and child.

Catherine should've told her husband to keep his opinions on his brother's love life to himself.

ETA I don't mean to downplay what I'm sure is a sincere sense of loss in the face of family changes. But geez Louise every article comes off like H & M are perpetrators and the RF are victims.

BBM oh please! It's the RF ffs. They have access to all sorts of communication technology. It's not like H&M moved to Mars.

IMO JMO MOO

William is the President of BAFTA. Nothing wrong with supporting the arts. But if the arts are gonna stop being arts and start (as they already have) to be homages to pop culture and progressive politics, then I agree he needs to step away from it or bring it back to its roots.

Prince William is the current BAFTA President. I think he gets a say in this.

My impression has always been that the BAFTA's are far more of an honor and less of a brash lobbying program than the Oscars. It is the UK's way of selling their movie and entertainment industry to the world.

Even though Prince Charles does have credentials as an ecologically-minded leader, he does need to walk the walk if he is going to talk the talk.

He should learn something from this criticism

Exactly my thoughts, especially the boo hoo part. It almost sounds like they expected to keep Harry as an obedient pet they could call to sit on the couch with them when they were in the mood. It’s a little over the top, IMO.

Meghan Markle admits she lied to casting directors so she could land a part | Daily Mail Online

‘A video of Meghan Markle calling herself a 'fraud' for apparently lying to casting directors about being in a union to get an acting job has resurfaced.

It comes as the Duchess of Sussex is rumoured to be returning to screens following the couple's vow to become 'financially independent' from the royal family.

The clip - unearthed from a promotional appearance Meghan did for her TV series Suits - shows the Duchess confessing to telling casting directors that she was in an actors’ union.

The host asks the panel about which role got them their first Screen Actors Guild card, a US union that represents more than 100,000 actors.

Meghan says she pretended to be in a union to get a small part in a pilot for Century City, a 2004 CBS show’

Without fail. They talk such rubbish. They really need to give it a rest

I notice the complete lack of any words like "did not participate in the filming," "was never scheduled to make an appearance," etc. Instead, we get this:

Meghan Markle will not be a part of an upcoming Netflix show about second weddings.

“Categorically untrue,” says a palace source in response to a recent report from the New York Post, which claimed that the former Suits star, 38, would make appearances on the upcoming Canadian series I Do, Redo, which is hosted by her close friend Jessica Mulroney.

CTV, which has partnered with Netflix for the reality show, has also denied the report. “The Duchess of Sussex does not appear in upcoming @CTV series I Do, Redo,” they tweeted on Saturday.

____

Imo, that can easily be read as she thoroughly participated and intended to do it, and the plan got the kibosh. Semantics is everything when it comes to publicity. jmo

1. We can't really believe everything we hear in the news, I'm talking about 'Catherine feeling the loss of her relationship with Harry.' if it is true, which maybe it is...but it's not like Catherine herself wrote that article...so the Bo hoo comments are a bit weird really.

2. The article with Charles and his flying...well, for one it shows that Meghan and Harry don't get singled out , which they have subtly claimed with their press releases and this has happened in the past to other members of the RF. In his defence, he was in one country for the anniversary and then had to travel to another for other engagements...it's not like he was using them for his own private use.
