She looks horrible in that white ensemble. We are still in Winter and not mid Summer.
Plus the skirt is split up to her thighs...

Agree with this. Meghan always looks like she's preening in front of the public/camera to me, and I suspect that she chose the blue dress to accentuate her figure rather than to be appropriate to the season or other considerations.

She has a beautiful figure, but this dress looks "Kardashian-esque" to me. It bespeaks of an insecure and immature woman who longs for celebrity and the admiration of men. The white ensemble is just more of Meghan "breaking the rules" after voluntarily joining an institution that has lived by, and been defined by, rules for hundreds of years.

Someone above posted some photos of Princess Margaret, and in them I see a genuine-ness in her facial expressions, as well as someone who obviously enjoys couture, but is comfortable in her own skin. She wears lovely, flattering clothing, but it's always appropriate to the occasion and well-fitted: No zippers the full length of the dress; no skin-tight fabric stretched over a rather saggy bottom; no tugging at her clothing because it's too tight/short.

This was obviously her big "reveal" to the UK public post royal break-up. It's to say "see what you've lost". It reminds me of Princess Diana's "revenge dress", the target being the BRF and UK public, rather than an ex.

Agree and it boggles my mind that she chose this dress to be the big reveal. She knew that she would be photographed at every angle. So the zipper gets the last word...a lasting impression.

What the heck was she doing dressing him like that!!

Diana had some gorgeous outfits, but also some dreadful ones (but then it was the 1980s!)

Wow

Camilla's 'fury' at Meghan for releasing pictures on same day of her speech | Daily Mail Online

The move sparked anger within the palace after Meghan 'refused to listen' to the pleas of staff and not issue the images.

A Buckingham Palace email to new organisations had said: 'Please note that media arrangements have been designed specifically with a view to allowing royal correspondents to focus on the Duchess of Cornwall's engagement on Friday.'

Meghan's photographs, taken by the Sussex's wedding photographer Chris Allerton, were revealed in a post on the official Sussex Royal Instagram on Friday. Meghan had delayed releasing them until after her appearance with Harry at the Endeavour Fund Awards.

Must read story about MM releasing her photos to promote herself and overshadow Camilla's work on domestic violence.

Meghan Markle at war with 'upset' Camilla after stealing limelight with pictures
I had just assumed they were from the same day. What i did notice was that there was no organised woman’s day surprise as we were told. Personally I’ve never taken much notice of Camilla, although I’m coming round to her - but listening to her, she did an amazing speech and I listened to it and didn’t even open the articles about MM due to a lack of interest on my part.

MM = ME,ME and "call me Harry" right along with her.

I think those 2 better soak up what they can now 'cause there will be a day when it'll be "who?".

My opinion only

Interesting point tho. Which of Henry VIII's wives comes to your mind first? Anne Boleyn by any chance? Notoriety lives longer. JMO

Notoriety may live longer, but she didn't. Was it worth the trade-off? The really interesting part is Elizabeth I, her daughter, becoming such a great Queen. The entire history and lore of "King Harry's" wives is fascinating, each and every one. Many lessons to be learned.

Strange thing - I went through the Tower of London, saw what they call "Tower Green" and felt absolutely nothing there. It was like all the ghosts had fled, left nothing but cleaned-up stone. There might be a lesson here, but it eludes me.

OH, almost forgot, I read that "King Henry/Harry" was so obese when he died that his body, left alone for a bit, exploded. I wonder if there's any real truth to that?

Sorry to be off topic, but English history fascinates me, especially now that I'm watching it being made.
