Wow, her accent! I can't imagine there's a 14 year old in the country who still speaks the true Queen's English. Even she doesn't sound as posh as she did in 1940

Almost as many as watched Den serving divorce papers to Angie... "Happy Christmas, Ange".... of course back then we only had 4 channels and no internet so everyone was glued. It would be interesting to know how many people worldwide have seen the Queen's speech across TV channels, the internet and social media. Around 2 billion watched William and Kate's wedding and I wouldn't be surprised if it surpasses that.

The Swedish royal family are mourning the death of Catharina Nilert, who has passed away shortly before her 94th birthday. An obituary published in Svenska Dagbladet newspaper confirmed the sad news, adding that Catharina’s funeral service will take place in private. Catharina was the youngest of four children born to Count Carl Bernadotte of Wisborg and his first wife, Baroness Marianne De Geer af Leufsta. She was a great-granddaughter of King Oscar II of Sweden and of Norway and, therefore, a second cousin of King Carl XVI Gustaf's father. Her grandfather was Prince Oscar Bernadotte, Count of Wisborg, younger brother of King Gustaf V. Catharina was thereby a relative of the present king's father and was close to the family.

Duchess of Cornwall reunited with Prince Charles after coming out of isolation at Birkhall
The Duchess of Cornwall is out of isolation at Birkhall in Scotland, HELLO! understands. Despite testing negative for coronavirus, Camilla, 72, had to remain in isolation for 14 days because the Prince of Wales had tested positive for the disease. Charles, 71, came out of isolation after seven days last week, in line with the current UK government policy.
The heir to the throne paid tribute to all those who have worked tirelessly to create the new medical facility at the ExCel conference centre in East London, calling it a "spectacular and unbelievable feat of work".
He said: "On behalf of the nation, I want to say a very big thank you to the planners, the builders, the Armed Forces, the generous companies and organisations which have donated equipment and services, and all the support staff, who have made this possible. Also we owe an immense debt of gratitude to the doctors, the nurses, the technicians, the staff – currently working in the health service and those coming out of retirement – and the voluntary workers who will be working within it. I can only offer my special thoughts and prayers to all those who will receive care within it and let us hope that it will not be too long before this terrible disease has left our land."

"Like you, our focus is on supporting efforts to tackle the global Covid-19 pandemic but faced with this information coming to light, we felt compelled to share the story of how this came to be," the Duke and Duchess told the publication in a statement.
"Before SussexRoyal, came the idea of 'Arche'—the Greek word meaning 'source of action.' We connected to this concept for the charitable organisation we hoped to build one day, and it became the inspiration for our son's name. To do something of meaning, to do something that matters. Archewell is a name that combines an ancient word for strength and action, and another that evokes the deep resources we each must draw upon. We look forward to launching Archewell when the time is right."

She is currently social-distancing at her Gloucestershire home with husband Mike Tindall and their two young daughters Mia and Lena amid the coronavirus pandemic. "We're very lucky," she explained. "We're out in the country, we are on the farm, and we've still got to look after the horses. So I can't imagine how hard it is for people in the city. But trying to stay safe and not put pressure on our NHS."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex watched Queen Elizabeth's historic televised address about the coronavirus pandemic on Sunday, a source told Harper's Bazaar, and "were both moved" by what they saw. "They described it as not just a demonstration of experienced leadership, but also warmth, reassurance and comfort," the source said.
The publication also cited a source who confirmed that Harry had phoned his grandmother at the end of last week "to offer his support ahead of the broadcast."
