My concern lies in the unseen distress upon the Queen at this late stage of her life. She is tough and confident in her position but nonetheless undue stress takes a toll on most everyone. Interpersonal stresses are those of the most damaging.
What I like about Her Majesty is she is unwavering in her purpose and duty to the role she was born into. Those who made it through ww2 know the hardest of times.
I’m sure, in all her wisdom, she sees the rudderlessness happening in her grandson, Harry.
But she’s appropriately detached. While she’s firm about the conditions of exiting the RF, I think she knows they have to find their own way. And for HM, that includes weathering a self serving story line in the hype of what seems like a tabloid of a book that H&M seem perfectly fine with.
I read somewhere she has no intention of reading it. And that’s how one deals with tripe. But she’s capable of separating out her love of her grandson.
Bottom line, Harry chose Meghan. It seems there was always something in Harry that wished to distinguish himself, even if it was setting up all this high drama and leaving home. And he got that, and then some.
Meanwhile, no one has rocked the monarchy since Diana, or the tragic loss of her.
In fact, all the fluffy complaints, and immature drama of H&M have only strengthened the RF at home. In fact, they’ve all been very present in the face of this pandemic, and the hardships suffered in their country. And that’s where their loyalty lives.
I’m hoping Her Majesty is having a peaceful time and summer stay surrounded by family. She’s got a big fam. And her beloved doggies.
And I do think she’s got the biggest fan club, too.
