Me please! If I can work part time and from home...

Seriously though, must be a bit of a kick in the teeth to those loyal palace staff who work hard for significantly less!

I think that job will have the biggest turnover ever. No thanks. No one ever gets fired from cleaning a toilet decently.

We did not have news of Meghan and Harry in the US. Were they able to avoid all publicity?
What about Christmas? Where will that be?
I don't think they ever came here. TMZ would have had posted a picture or an article. Canada is a possibility or perhaps they never left the UK...JMO

I read the Queen reads every letter to her. Something like 300 a day !

Have you ever sent The Queen a letter?

I think I might just send her a lovely Christmas card expressing my profound admiration and respect for her.

I don’t know if it is true that the Duchess of Sussex wanted to wear the Vladimir tiara at her wedding and her Majesty declined. But I’m glad it wasn’t as the headband tiara worn by the Duchess on her wedding day was much more suitable.
:) I don't believe a word of that rumour.

Firstly I would think it highly improper to 'ask' Her Majesty for anything but especially in regards to her personal jewels!

Following that I would imagine when HM did offer the loan of a Tiara it would be from a limited selection of ones which would be 'appropriate' for the occasion.
2019-0727-vladimir01.png
The Grand Duchess Vladimir Tiara would certainly NOT be! It's far to ostentatious for a Royal Bride, a simple bandeau style is far more fitting, particularly as in the case of both Kate & Meg the only reason HM offered the loan of her tiaras was due to neither having their own family tiara to wear, which is the custom i.e. Diana wearing the Spencer Family Tiara.

SpencerTiara.jpg
Spencer Family Tiara!
Also this is absolutely one of the Queens personal favourites, it's iconically symbolic with her but it obviously holds some special appeal to her, which I suspect is simply for the same reason as her other favourite...It was "Granny's Tiara" :)

I so luvz this Tiara! :p

I had wondered if this rumour had evolved over Meg possibly wanting something specifically 'emerald' & Eugenie had already bagsed ;) the Grenville Emerald Bandeau, she had announced her engagement before Harry & Megs wedding thou it had been expected for quite some time before.

But what really make me doubt the whole tale is this quote from Meghan herself:

"Harry and I had gone to Buckingham Palace to meet with her Majesty the Queen to select one of the options that were there which was an incredibly surreal day as you can imagine."

When it came to picking the right jewels, Meghan shared that complementing her dress was key. "That was the one that I think as we tried them on stood out," she continued. "I think it was just perfect because it was so clean and simple - and also to that point, an extension of what Clare and I had been trying to do with the dress which was have something that could be so incredibly timeless but still feel modern."

Lastly (but certainly not leastly as this quote also sums up the most obvious reason)...

The Grand Duchess Vladimir Tiara would have looked ridiculous with her wedding dress. :D

THE Queen wants a £1,000-a-week Twitter King to boost her profile on social media and bag her more likes and followers...

I don’t think this would be a bad job it could open up huge career opportunities for the person after a few years.

:p I'm in!

Camilla's Christmas cheer! Duchess shares inside look at festive party on Instagram - as terminally ill children help decorate the tree and meet Santa's reindeer at her Clarence House home
Camilla, 72, was hosting her annual party for seriously and terminally ill children from two charities she supports - Helen & Douglas House and Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity - and the youngsters couldn't have had a more magical time.

Not only were there decorations to hang and a festive feast to consume, the royal had even invited two of Santa's reindeer to meet the children - Dancer and Blitzen - and got the giggles when Dancer decided to make a break for freedom in the gardens and trampled a box hedge.

The Duchess went on to post several adorable snaps online of the celebration with the 921k followers of the Clarence House Instagram account.

'It's her job to be Harry's wife, not change the royal dynamic': Prince Charles' Hollywood polo pal Stefanie Powers, 77, unloads on Meghan and brands Andrew 'stupid' - but gushes about 'impeccable' Kate

Powers, who is best known for her leading role on the 80s sitcom Hart to Hart and currently splits her time between the UK, Los Angeles and Kenya, formed a close relationship with Prince Charles years ago through their mutual love of polo.

Speaking to The Daily Beast in an interview published Thursday, Powers revealed that she strongly disapproves of Charles' daughter-in-law Meghan.

22171368-7786545-image-a-181_1576186915520.jpg
The actress charged that the Duchess of Sussex has tried to turn the Royal Family into her own personal TV show, 'Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous' 'The Adventures of Meghan in the Palace'.

'[Meghan] wants to be a star, which, I'm sorry, is not what she is supposed to be doing,' Powers said. 'Meghan's role is not about being a star.

'It's her job to be Harry's wife, not change the royal dynamic.'

Powers was far more complimentary when talking about other members of the Royal Family, calling Kate Middleton 'impeccable' and Prince Charles 'lovely and witty'

'Please, she's obviously not a great actress. She's not gotten into the role she has taken on.

'Grace Kelly did [when she married Prince Rainier of Monaco], but then she was Hollywood royalty—not a bit player in a minor television series.' :D

Her rant then shifted to other members of the Royal Family as she said: 'Britain is outstanding because of the Royal Family, and when a member of it misbehaves they shorten its viability.

'Prince Andrew is stupid. Both him and Harry have making fools of themselves in common.

'Kate [Middleton] is impeccable, she doesn't put a foot wrong.

Powers is seen playing polo with Prince Charles at the Suoni World Class Polo Day
'Look at Princess Anne. I love Princess Anne. I know her. She is sensational. She is her mother's daughter, totally committed to what she does. She has stepped back, and doesn't make a circus of life whenever she steps out. She's the real thing. She's kind of mischievous. She has a wicked twinkle.'

:) That was an interesting link!

So apparently Her Majesty was debuting a previously unseen necklace?
2019-1211-reception08.png
The big news was the Queen’s necklace, apparently a piece never before seen according to royal jewel experts The Court Jeweller and The Royal Order of Splendour. :p The jaw-dropping piece features “square faceted emeralds in diamond clusters with diamond spacer ornaments and diamond and cabochon emerald drops,”

If I’m not mistaken, HM doesn’t debut many significant pieces of jewelry, so it was a treat to see her in this tonight.

Strangely Kate's necklace seems to have mostly slipped by many in the media

Prince Charles is all smiles as he studies artwork and photographs during opening of exhibition at the Romanian Cultural Institute

Prince Charles was all smiles today as he officially opened an exhibition, marking 30 years since the Romanian Revolution.
22165774-7786335-image-a-34_1576175510380.jpg
The royal, 71, appeared in high spirits as he arrived at the Romanian Cultural Institute in London, where he was seen laughing and joking with other attendees.

Prince Charles fell in love with Romania on his very first visit in 1998 and makes a private visit for a few days, every year, to the country.

22165764-7786335-image-a-40_1576176052143.jpg
The royal beamed and joked with attendees at the event in London this evening, as he reminisced about his favourite holiday destination

The royal fell so much under the spell of the country that he bought a house in one of the wooden villages, then acquired another property which he's turned into a comfortable lodge.

He likes to visit in May when the wild flowers are out - while both houses can be rented when Charles isn't there.

The royal appeared equally enamored by the exhibition at the institute, studying photographs as he toured the venue, and was later in high spirits as he gave a speech at the event.
