What happpened to Land Rovers and Jaguars?

Privately the Duke of Sussex and Duke of Cambridge drive and are fans of Audi’s. For official business or when they need to bring more luggage they use Land Rovers and Range Rovers which are provided at a discount for the publicity.

I wish they would ditch the Range Rovers they have a terrible reputation for reliability. They look nice but keep repair garages in business.

I'm glad you brought this up. For some reason I got this in my News feed earlier, (I never get TMZ show up?) curiosity (or boredom ) got the better of me.
Obviously it's TMZ so the article was as 'naff', as to be expected but I couldn't help notice to clear dislike for Will & especially Kate. I didn't think much of it until noticing the 'related articles'.

Meh, TMZ is wrong. Prince Edward and Sophie Essex also arrived in separate cars, same with Zara Phillips and some of the others who were driving with multiple children (and some with security guards riding along). JMO, it looked like an arrangement the security guards were using - one parent driving, one security guard riding in front or back and 1 or 2 children at most. The security guards probably want to have just a couple of people to protect in each car so they can keep an eye on crowds, etc.

The article says Her Majesty also gives £35 shopping vouchers to senior staff. Most people get nothing from their employer at Christmas so at least the employees are getting something in appreciation for their hard work. The royal employees would probably prefer a Christmas bonus than a Christmas pudding or shopping vouchers though.

Plus anyone's who ever been on a mini-break with 3 young kids knows how much 'luggage' you need to squeeze into the car as well!
The Royal Family know very well the media want pics so it's a smart move giving them clearer photo op.s for each family member

This kitchen with the washer that Keene Engel posted I think is really nice and efficient for small space. Laundry gets hung on the line in the countryside which is so nice. I also like a smaller kitchen and a separate pantry to store things.

So many washer dryers are in cellars/basements here... down the rickety stairs. A musty place. Down to the dungeon!

Yes, converting a small bedroom with a window and some light and air into just a laundry space is brilliant. I want one, too!

I love that kitchen. And we hang as much as possible and only dry to get rid of wrinkles. Clothing smells better and lasts longer.

Royals certainly have their choice of PDA while 'working' but most do not demonstrate while on official duties. Perhaps Kate wanted to maintain the royal protocol. I think what Wills did was cute though. I just think it caught Kate off guard.

Thing is, because the Queen and family are partly publicly funded, there would be outcry if she was spending loads or giving them extravagant gifts - especially at this time of year as there are lots of campaigns to help the homeless and families in need. I can just imagine the nasty headlines.

in the US, many employees get gifts . She has a large staff . A Christmas pudding which she probably got a deal on because she ordered so many is really not good considering that we see that some of the jobs posted here do not pay much, And gift certificates can be purchased at a lower price as well in the US. Have no idea about the UK

the gifts do not have to be extravagant, just meaningful. Even a simple jewelry piece that could be passed down . Even a gift certificate for all at a bit more. I would not think people would think $100 American for a longer serving employee would be out of line.
