Duchess of Sussex's Stella McCartney coat made by Hungarian factory workers earning £2.60 PER HOUR | Daily Mail Online

I can't say I am surprised. This is of course not unique to Meghan or Stella, most clothing we wear is made cheaply by exploited workers. As much as I enjoy the Royals, I do have an issue with how much they spend on clothes. There are many labels such as The Pretty Dress Company that sell beautiful clothing designed and made in the UK, that would be perfectly appropriate for Catherine and Meghan, most of which are way below the £200 mark.

I used to work for a company that sold dressmaking fabrics and I have sold exactly the same fabrics to high end labels as I have to local hobby dressmakers. There is absolutely no difference, you just pay extra for the label!

I choke when I see the cost of the dresses they wear sometimes, there is absolutely no need for it.

Harewood House is near me and we go quite a lot, the Christmas Fair is stunning!

Wow. So happy for you that you live near such a place. Makes me think I'd like to plan a little trip next Christmas! One day, one day.....

For now, I will have to settle for seeing these things vicariously through folks like you and, of course, Pinterest! Maybe you'll take a snap or two of the fair and upload here this year if you have a chance???

This is an absolute disgrace I am shocked Stella McCartney does this given how supportive she is about animal rights. It must be awful making clothes all day in difficult conditions that you will never be able to afford.

It is an extremely exploitative industry. Seamstress are highly skilled and deserve to be paid accordingly. It is intricate work that takes a huge toll on your hands, fingers, eyes and even your lungs in poor conditions.

Unfortunately, we are not all financially able to be too choosy about what we wear, we have to buy what is within our own budgets, but for those like the Royal Family who are in a such a position, they should simply refuse to endorse this. The fashion industry is unethical and much like any other "celebrity" driven industry, it's full of hypocrites.

Most designer label clothes are produced in the same factories as budget brands by the same workers using the same fabrics.

THIS, THIS, THIS

Do neither of the Sussex’s have any sense?

Or are they just too celebrity-focused?

I'm not hard pressed to believe that she has political aspirations. Good for her, but the Royal Family and political careers do not mix.

Sigh.... MM needs to distance herself from Hilary . Politics and being royal do not mix and Hilary is a hot mess, JMO....

Hillary Clinton Meets Baby Archie During Visit to Meghan Markle's Home

I thought about this when I read HRC had visited Meghan, Harry & Archie. —She also visited Prince William and I believe Kate was there too, this week.

She also visited when H&M’s official time off period began.

I read Meghan wrote her famous letter about women stereotypes and a dish soap commercial when she was 11 years old, in ‘92 to the Clinton WH.

Also, Bill Clinton was president when Princess Diana died in ‘97. So there is a historical relationship there. I’m trying to remember who we sent to represent the USA at Dianna’s funeral. So, the Clintons have a love of Princes William and Harry from a parental age group, too.

So when I think of HRC visiting I think she’s just offering support.

And support HRC can offer, too, as someone who’s gone through a lot in the public eye. Hopefully it will make Prince Harry feel welcome as he and Meghan explore their options.

We love both princes Will & Harry in the USA. Harry marrying an American woman was an exciting prospect, like a fairytale, and I think rekindled a lot of renewed interest in the BRF.

MM and Hilary have spent time together many times in the past even before she married PH. She needs to distance herself a bit ……

I don’t get the sense of political aspirations. But that circles intersect and conclusions are being drawn based upon that.

Some of our political leaders are a lot of fun regardless of politics. One only has to see the friendships of Michelle Obama and GWB2 especially, Ronald Reagan and Tip O’Neill were famously friendly opposites. And there are alliances like Al Gore and Prince Charles on mutual passion on the environment.

Some are just more accessible too. Harry did a wonderful radio interview with Obama, and Obama attended the Invictous Games with him. Think all this was before he even met Meghan. So, there’s perhaps a mutual admiration that they found in whatever their beliefs are.

If anything I think it draws more attention to Prince Harry. So, even though it may feel like Meghan has taken over everything because she’s taking a lot of heat, I have a feeling we’d be super thrilled to know, it would be important to know that Prince Harry is having a nice time here. And that both he and Meghan feel welcome.

Most of our leaders go on to do wonderful things post politics. If H&M are looking to branch out to see what’s out there, there are some good people that they have carte blanche access to, really because of Prince Harry. His experience as a royal, in the military, his causes and initiatives are what’s well known.

Getting mixed up with Hilary and her hidden agendas, jmo, is not good for MM. She doesn't need Hilary.....

MEGHAN Markle invited Hillary Clinton to meet baby Archie in a "fan girl" meeting, it has been reported.

The Duchess of Sussex and former First Lady shared hugs as they met for the first time at Frogmore Cottage.

I have not read that MM spent time with HRC. In fact, I think this was the first meeting. I believe it is the Princes who have met the Clintons in the past...

I think MM extended the invitation after HRC expressed her support for what she and Harry are going through in the press. If that is the case, I think it is a lovely reciprocal gesture.

Vegas odds - the very last thing Meghan wants to do is get involved in the mosh pit of politics over here especially after joining the BRF and while in the midst of having a family with Prince Harry.

—It’s nice to have allies. Someone rooting for you when the chips are down. I’m sure it lifted Prince Harry’s spirits, too.

All Jmo.

She has mingled with Hilary before her marriage. Hilary's ex campaign manger knows Meghan and currently works for M's PR now. The Frogmore mtg was not the first for M

And once again, I think picking out your own PR groups apart from input from the Royal Family is just fraught with pitfalls such as this.

I am sick of the dynamic duo. So Hilary, cough cough , gets to meet Archie. H and M are making me so mad.
They are spoiled brats.

Oh, absolutely! I greatly admire many a politician on both "sides." I can vehemently disagree with a person's politics and still really like them. This phenomenon of judging people based on who they vote for is weird, IMO.

Meghan recently spent time with Ivanka Trump at a mutual friend's wedding, they obviously (and unsurprisingly) move in the same circles. They probably get along with Hilary and that's why she was invited round.

I do feel as though she is a very politically driven person, that's not a criticism, but if she wanted to pursue this it would a conflict of interest with her royal duties. I don't suppose it would be an easy position to be in.
