...I personally think going to Morocco is absolute madness. Going to New York is crazy too with a high risk pregnancy.

If Meghan were to stop traveling and/or cut back on her public appearances, would the Duchess be shirking her royal duties? Is she expected to continue making public appearances even if she might not feel up to it? Meghan obviously has a high energy level and is in good physical condition, but she is in the third trimester at age 37 and shouldn't push herself to do more than she is capable of doing at this stage of pregnancy.

From the article, this is a photo of HRH and Vogue's Anna Wintour at 2018's Fashion week, Her Majesty's first.

Wow she took her usual suit look up a notch didn't she? That ice blue is a gorgeous color on her, especially with her hair. Looks to be Chanel, perhaps? I wish she would've worn color matched gloves though. Might have looked a bit more elegant. Love Anna's look too. I often don't like her clothes but this floral column print is very pretty. They both look like they're enjoying the runway show.

The photo leads me to another question. Is it considered bad form to not remove your sunglasses when in the presence of the Queen?

I keep adding on to my post lol. Here's an article about Anna's sunglasses last year: Even the Queen can't make Anna Wintour part with her sunglasses

The Queen’s suit will be an Angela Kelly design she has never worn Chanel in history that I can recall.

A royally expensive party! The sky-high cost of Meghan Markle's baby shower revealed, from the $75,000-a-night penthouse venue to her lavish dinners and pricey first-class flights

Meghan Markle's baby shower cost revealed | Daily Mail Online

That hotel room is an absolute rip off it is so dull and plain. Why is it worth $75,000 a night? You could get a magnificent fancy suite in Paris for that kind of money.

Nearly $300,000 is a lot of money for a baby shower.

That is disgusting. I do not begrudge her security. It is not her fault there are nuts out there.

But, they can afford to buy any of those items. And the cost of shipping them. Wow.

Why not have a shower to benefit an organization that helps mothers?

And a cotton candy machine. The health food persons are going to allow a child to eat cotton candy? I cannot see it.

They can donate that to a group that does carnivals.

According to my link a friend arranged the private jet so I would think the gifts would go back with her. I don't begrudge Meghan receiving gifts from her well heeled friends. I would think they would want to celebrate her pregnancy like any other group of gal pals. I would rather friends with deep pockets purchase items over the British taxpayers. IMO

Kate Middleton missed Meghan Markle's baby shower today, opting instead for a secret family skiing trip - in a move that will do nothing to dampen speculation of a royal rift.

The Duchess of Sussex, 37, who is seven months pregnant, flew from London to the US on Friday to celebrate her baby among close friends in what proved to be a lavish affair.

But her sister-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge, was noticeable in her absence, having eschewed the celebrations for a half-term break with William, 36, and her three children - George, five, Charlotte, three and Louis, aged just nine months.

I didn’t expect the Duchess of Cambridge to be there when even her own Mum Doria wasn’t there.

The Daily Mail comment section is being brutal about the Duchess and the baby shower.

Yes this was an all girlfriend type trip. IMO. Not the formal baby showers we see with us "commoners" I think it was a core group of close friends who wanted to do something nice for a good friend.

Nothing wrong with a baby shower but why so over the top?? How long has Megs really been good friends with Mrs. Clooney?

Please Megs, quit holding your baby bump. I have never been a Meghan fan but now I am beginning to despise her.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand why, with all the problems in the world, it would bother anyone that photos of Megan holding her bump are chosen by photo editors of magazines and newspapers to feature in articles about her. I also don't understand how a photo of one millisecond of her day translates into continual bump holding.

I'd bet $100 there is marketing data that shows that photos of pregnant celebs cradling their bumps sell more magazines.

Megan Markle's baby bump is beautiful—but no, she's not 'flaunting' it

Good grief! A baby shower is supposed to be friends! Not a sister in law that you don't have anything in common with! She probably wouldn't have fit in, and been a buzzkill on the party.

I mean really. If Meghan's friends threw her a baby shower at the local Applebee's, people would be whinging about how cheap all her rich friends are and that they didn't celebrate her baby in the appropriate way.

She's their friend, married recently to a wonderful guy, and she's having her first baby. Why wouldn't they want to shower her in celebration?

I think some people get the impression she is holding her bump in every photo as if to say look at me I’m pregnant. I don’t know why the Duchess is doing it and obviously have never been pregnant but it could be she is being protective of the baby due to the press and onlookers. I agree with all the problems in the world it is not something to be concerned. People are just making an observation no distress to the Duchess intended.

Some of the observations come with a side of unwarranted judgmentalness, IMO.

ETA Why does it matter why she's holding her bump? Maybe the baby is anxious around loud noises and she's comforting it. Maybe she has gas. Maybe she's got a wedgie. Who fricking cares? I just don't understand the meanness I'm reading (that's not directed towards you Greg).

Sincere apologies it is not my intention I won’t comment on this in future.

I'm not suggesting anyone shouldn't post about Meghan's bump. I'm just trying to point out objective facts to counter the petty bashing based on media spin and clickbait articles.

I should be the one to bow out, and I will.

Carry on.

So typical of the press. Before the Wedding Meghan could do no wrong. Now she cant do anything right.
