I think the flippin' Daily Mail also needs to be put on a fixated persons list! I honestly doubt any of this "rift" has been as bad as the rags make out. But let's just remember a couple of very basic facts:

Kate had YEARS to get used to the royal family and grew up in similar social circles.
Meghan had just a few months and definitely did not.
Kate will be Queen one day.
Meghan will not.

M & H are in an entirely different situation to K & W and have very different personalities, both have a naughtier side and have lived their adulthood fairly freely until now, wonder if they've had a spliff together yet?

I sincerely hope that Meghan acknowledges and completely understands her role within the Royal family.

I'm sure she does, but at the end of the day she is "just" the sister-in-law of a future monarch in an equivalent position to the Earl of Snowdon, Sophie Wessex, or Anne's husbands Mark and Tim (and I wouldn't recognise either of them if I passed them in the street let alone care what they said / wore / did)

Kate was the biggie as she'll actually be called Queen one day, but I can't understand what the media is doing to Meghan. It's like Diana all over again and I bet Harry hates them for it.

Future BFFs? Kim Kardashian is 'keen to become best friends with Meghan'- and insiders claim she plans to win the duchess over with gifts of DIAMONDS for her unborn baby

Kim Kardashian 'keen to become best friends with Meghan Markle' | Daily Mail Online

This made me chuckle anything this family sent to the Royals would be sent back with a letter saying the Duke and Duchess are unable to accept the gift.

Where is the ROTFL emoji when I need it?! :D I doubt any of this is true, but I LOVE this line...

A source told Radar: 'The royal baby's a perfect time for her to remind Meghan – and Harry – that she and Kanye are sincere, thoughtful people and she's looking to stand out from all the other celebrities with something truly impressive.

After Kanye’s “performance” in the Oval Office visiting Trump, all I can say is “run Meghan, run!”

The most bizarre moments from Trump and Kanye's meeting at the Oval Office – video

Here's every word of Kanye West's bizarre meeting with President Trump

Isn't it customary for Royals to refrain from being seen in public during the final months/weeks of pregnancy? By her own admission on Christmas, Meghan is in the "home stretch" of her pregnancy. Will Meghan adhere to the tradition and remain out of public view during her final weeks of pregnancy?

Maybe she’ll break with this silly tradition! What’s wrong with being “great with child”?

I'm pretty sure we've seen Kate out and about at 8 months. I just googled to see if there were pics of the Queen pregnant and there aren't many, she mainly covered her bumps up with big coats, furs or very loose dresses.

I agree that Meghan is typically seen in black or navy. Perhaps it is out of respect. The Queen is always in the brightest color. I would think Meghan who is often photographed with the Queen and/or Kate is simply respecting her "place" ??? I wish the Press would leave her alone. It was evident to me she and Harry are deeply in love and now share one of the most exciting events in their lives. I feel for Harry who must feel super protective given his Mother's press experience and tragic death.

That’s an interesting point about Meghan wearing black out of respect. I’ve noticed she also wears it when she is at events without the Queen, so it’s hard to tell.

I doubt the press will ever leave her alone, since they never let up on Diana. I expect that Harry prepared her well to make sure she was up to the job of dealing with these stories. I hope Meghan can just tune it out and enjoy her marriage and new baby.

Perhaps I am remembering incorrectly, but IIRC, Prince Charles was the one who was the lazy one of the top royals for years.

After Diana’s death and his marriage to Camilla, his popularity numbers were so low, he started working more. (I imagine only after a good lecture from Mummy). QEll knew the monarchy was in serious trouble if Charles was to become king during that period of time.

For the last years, Prince Charles has worked more than ever to prove to his mum that he will be a good king, JMO.
Can you imagine waiting 70 years and you haven’t started your career yet?! YIKES!

I don’t envy Prince Charles one bit as I think he is in for a rough time from the public when he becomes King. He just isn’t as well regarded by the public as Her Majesty TheQueen is.

I think the Daily Mail and Daily Mirror are trying to convey an impression that the younger royals are work shy especially the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. I don’t think it is fair considering they have three young children who should be their priority.

Which is as it should be, since they have 3 small children to keep them busy.

And if they were workaholics they’d be slammed for neglecting their kids. They can’t catch a break.
