I understand Princess Diana and the Duchess of York weren’t speaking when Princess Diana died something which the Duchess of York greatly regrets.

And it’s hardly a “snub.” What a stupid pot-stirring headline.
Right?!? It’s nuts that a normal decision probably based on logistics such as proximity and safety is tainted with this insane snideness about motivation. Exhausting.

Meghan Markle ‘will snub hospital where Kate Middleton had her children to have royal baby in Surrey’

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....-baby-due-hospital-kate-middleton-surrey/amp/

It looks like we won’t be seeing photos of the Duke and Duchess with their newborn at the Lindo Wing after all. But as long as the baby arrives safely that’s all that should matter.

Sounds like they're expected to be living at Frog more cottage by then. They'll probably be moving to Windsor in the next few weeks, if they plan to be settled in before the birth. The article says Prince Edward' s wife Sophie had one of her children at the same hospital. Sounds like it was a complicated, risky birth and the doctors handled it well. Sounds good for Meghan who is at an advanced age for her first live birth and at greater risk for complications. Looks like a small out of the way hospital, so she probably will have lots of privacy, probably not as much media attention, unless she wants that and encourages the reporters to show up.

I'm guessing mid to late February for the due date, based on her current appearance. Most likely a "honeymoon baby" as they used to call it. No shame in that today, it's a modern world. I'm sure they're both looking forward to becoming parents and settling in out at Winsor, away from the public eye .

Meghan's £400k wardrobe: How the duchess wore new clothing worth FIVE times more than any other royal woman in Europe in 2018 - while Kate's spend was a modest £68K

Perhaps Meghan has reconsidered the home birth that was touted a couple of months ago.

Mid to late February is my call, as well.

Happy New Year everyone!

I missed the dinner discussion (and a lot more) so I am going to cook up some virtual dishes for Meghan and Harry once the baby comes home. All can be frozen and popped in the oven when needed (except the ice cream :p).

Lasagna with Kalamata Olives (my own recipe)
Killer Burritos (my recipe)
Rhubarb Raspberry pie (Epicurious.com)
Vanilla goat milk ice cream (epicurious.com)
ETA: Roast Turkey with Cornbread, Chorizo, Cherry, and Pecan Stuffing (Epicurious.com)

Everything is gluten free and made with goat dairy products.

I am so sick of all this "feud" reporting in the rags. I hate that it reduces women (in particular) to jealous insecure participants in cat fights. It's 2019 ffs. I'm so over it.

This was my favorite royals photo from the holidays:

They look like any happy young family, full of life and fun personalities.

and OMG Louis just gets cuter and cuter!

I was curious how much Queen Rania of Jordan spent on her wardrobe. I found a figure of £200k for 2017. I also found this article:

Queen Rania releases statement regarding wardrobe spending

From the article: "Sadly, the statement points out that these types of accusations are often used against leaders’ wives: “The focus on clothing and spending wives of leaders in many countries and accusing them of wastefulness – whether right or wrong – is not new and has been exploited as a historical political tool. "

The clothing amount is ridiculous. I hope all of the items are made responsibly. If so, it supplies jobs which woukd be far more than the amount spent.

We do have too many clothes.

I heard India had airplane hangers of donated used clothing that they end up burning

Meghan Markle's father has threatened to continue speaking out about his daughter and new son-in-law if the couple don't speak to him soon.

Thomas Markle, 74, has not been in contact with his daughter since her Royal Wedding back in May and has given a number of interviews since.

In his latest outburst, he has said won't "become a monk in a monastery and take a vow of silence" and has even said he'll "probably get louder".

While he admits he's made mistakes, he believes Prince Harry needs to "man up and get over it".

Meghan's dad's bold threat to daughter as he tells 'arrogant' Harry to 'man up'

I wonder what the conspiracy theorists will come up when this stupid man pops his clogs. I can see the headlines already.

Have to agree with this in part. So many cheap, poorly made clothes these days. It's nearly impossible to find clothing these days that is of good quality. Horrible junk.

ETA: Cagney, I laughed at that expression "pop your clogs". Hadn't heard that before.

I don’t understand why Thomas comes out with this nonsense practically every weekend is that when his rent is due? Or does he need beer money? It is hard to believe people have so little self-respect they have a total disregard for the embarrassment they are causing themselves or their loved one who is a member of the British Royal family. I would love to know what Her Majesty The Queen thinks of it all.
