This type of specific threat against a woman and a child in the public eye is unprecedented in my lifetime, I believe. People used to make outright threats against US presidents in the 70's, mostly just stoners left over from the peace movement then.

The world has changed so much, and the violence is horrific.
I can't put myself in Kate's place, of course, but my groceries would be delivered and my children would go to school with protection guards ( my fave, little Charlotte, is about to start a new school, I believe I read).
William and Kate definitely do not deserve this, nor the Queen, who likely worries quietly.
