I'll go March 1st - St David's Day. He's the patron saint of Wales which would be nice since daddy is Prince Harry/Henry of Wales!

I've been thinking March 1 for some months now but was embarrassed to say it because the Palace has been saying late spring and April.. Meghan said " April" just yesterday, but I've thought they maybe gave out a later date for security reasons.

I do agree with the last two posts, I'm thinking anywhere from Feb. 15- March 15 will be full term or nearly full term which is slightly preferable via latest guidelines for an older first mom due to possible complications. ( Ides of March in there, I realize, for the Bard, and never unlucky in my life)..
For my final prediction, I'm going to split the difference and also go with March 1 which was my first prediction to myself after the announcement. :))
I reserve the right to move it back to Feb. 15th but definitely not Feb. 14th.

NO mom I've ever known wants her baby born on St. Valentine's Day.
Do you know or can you guess the reason? ;)

Why all the secrecy about Meghan's due-date? Actually, secrecy regarding due-dates seems the norm with British Royals. Every woman knows her due date from the day her pregnancy is confirmed by an obstetrician. First we hear spring. Now Meghan says April. Early April? Mid April? Late April? Why the secrecy? I still think the Duchess looks farther along than six months.

Because the media go crazy and start camping out at the hospitals waiting for a scoop. Causes chaos!! Other reasons too, no doubt, but I rememberwhen Kate was having George the reporters were falling asleep on their feet outside the Lindo Wing, one or two made fairly snippy comments about the long wait.

I did initially suggest the Queens birthday (her proper one) April 23rd which is also St George's Day, but I also agree she looks further on than 6 months. Perhaps 1st March is a bit early.

Do the British celebrate St. Valentine's Day like Americans?
I've never known... but American moms I've taken care of do not prefer to deliver on Feb. 14th. :)

Countdown to Royal Baby Is On! Meghan Markle Reveals First Child's Due Date

...“We asked her how her pregnancy was going and she said she was six months and she tapped her tummy,” well-wisher Carla Gandy from nearby Wallasey, who was there with her 4-year-old daughter Sofia, tells PEOPLE.

Meghan told others gathered in Hamilton Square that she’s due in late April...

After the threats against Kate, especially, and with BetteDavisEyes very true statement that the Royal Family likely do manipulate this particular due date because of pap hounding. I am skeptical of these new date comments coming out one on top of the other, almost.

I adjusted Kate's date every time because the " tell" for her was the last public engagement date. She was so tiny and poised with her pregnancies, she didn't retire home for privacy in last trimester, but because that baby was due. Every time, I believe.

Okay - I say she'll give birth on February 14th. She DOES look farther along than 6 months! :)

I've suggested mid- to late February, but if the Duchess is due in late April, that doesn't seem feasible. She looks farther along to me.

I'm glad. I wasn't sure, as sometimes, our holidays don't quite all line up. :)

OK, here's the thing that happens about Valentine's Day, to no one in particular... . Women do not like having their baby on February 14th as a general rule ( exceptions to every rule noted) because it's a day of romance, both that year's day, and every one to come if one is lucky. Ever try to get a babysitter ( carer) for that one evening? No way. Know what that does to the romantic candlelit dinner? Cancels it for 18 YEARS at least. These days in US, they aren't leaving home now until mid 20's in " the new norm".

My child was due " anytime around Christmas" they said, and I laughed at the doctors and midwives greatly because they were so far off, like months too early.
Then it was " Any time after the first of the year" and I laughed myself almost off the table, still so far off the date I knew was right.

This went on to the point of absurdity and greatly undermined my trust in their judgment skills for all my care.
The actual and correct due date came and went, and I think they were so weary, they handwaved it on by as well.

2 full weeks later, they should have induced in hospital, but my doctor's appt. was on Feb. 14th and we decided on the next AM. In so doing, a blind critical error in judgment was made by this large but hapless practice and we both almost died because of it.. Hindsight being 20/20 and offspring remaining an only child.

OK, I'm reverting back to my April 23rd guess/wish!

Maybe not as early as Valentine's Day or even late February, but methinks the Duchess will pop before April 23 :D

I do, too. I'm covering all bases and gunning for the prize crown!

I've said 1st March and 23rd* April so my final (but subject to change) guess is half way in between - 27th March.

EDIT oops, Queens birthday is actually 21st April, St Georges day is 23rd as is Shakespeare's birthday, and his deathday (and if that's not a word it should be).

I'm going to quote the Bard and say "the Ides (15th) of March". (Julius Caesar)
