Alma's dress is beautiful. Charles looks like he laid on the beach too long and got a bad sunburn.
I don’t know if it’s the lighting/color in that first picture but he looks like he’s going to blister. It’s not so bad in the other pics.

The Duchess of Cambridge wowed in a recycled Alexander McQueen evening dress tonight at a star studded black-tie gala at London’s National Portrait Gallery.

Kate, 37, outshone socialites, fashion gurus and supermodels who gathered for the A-lister fundraiser in the floor-length belted gown embroidered with small white flowers.

It was the same dress the duchess wore when she attended the BAFTAS in February 2017, but the off-the-shoulder gown had been refashioned to include sleeves.

Tonight, Kate teamed it with a pink morganite and diamond earrings by Kiki McDonough and a Prada clutch.

I hate her dress and Charles looks like he's loaded to me :D

I think the dress would look better in a soft blue. I think it looked nice on Amal. Just curious, why do you hate the dress?

Although I'm sure it's not, the fabric looks cheap to me, plus I just think it looks stupid. Overall, I think Amal has very poor taste. I think she does business-wear much better than her casual or formal looks.

Hate. Much cuter when it was off the shoulder with up-do.

I liked the off the shoulder version too. The sleeves make the dress look frumpy. I agree Amal looks better in business clothes.

Wow, outshining the others - she certainly did! I love how fresh and different this is, while still being elegant, modest and flattering. Well done!

I agree. I love the remake AMcQ gown. It looks more balanced to me with short sleeves. And kate has gorgeous features and hair. This look highlights it all.

The Duchess of Cambridge is beautiful but in my opinion she looks even more regal with her hair up. But I understand she has to change up her look at every event and can’t have the same style all the time.

I agree I also don’t like the print on the dress it is aging in my opinion.

No doubt the designers at Gucci put a lot of thought into how their creations should look.

But at the end of the day, the wearer is entitled to put their own spin on things.

And the Duchess of Cambridge certainly had a different take on the label’s £790 blouse yesterday – seemingly wearing it back to front.

The purple silk-crepe pussy-bow shirt has a row of small buttons down the back, according to Net-a-Porter. But Kate noticeably put hers on with the buttons at the front.

Do you think this was accidental or deliberate?

Maybe it was designed to be worn either way. Otherwise it should be uncomfortable. Love the color.

Because Kate is so slim, the blouse may have fit here either way, back to front, front to back. It also could have been made to wear either way. However, looking at Kate, she probably did her own hair, makeup and got dressed without help. So having a blouse button up in the front would be a lot easier for her getting dressed. She looks very nice and rested.

I love Kate’s dress, I have rarely seen her or the queen in anything I didn’t like.

The fact that she can wear anything from 2 years ago after having a third child, kudos to Kate.

One of the first things My eyes went to was the buttons on the cuff. My eyes told me they were wrong.
