I really doubt this 'ambulance' thing too.
If you've ever had the misfortune of being transported in an ambulance, you know its the last thing on earth a labouring woman would want unless there was NO, NO, NO other choice of help.
I can see paramedics attending a 'rapid' birth, or police/fire or anyone but without the ambulance.
If her BP went up or some other minor complication set in, she'd be hospitalized immediately, not sent home.
