It was taken by a professional photographer specifically for 'official' release to the public - who were wanting a pic of Archie's christening??

ETA- I'm thinking it's usually 2 of same sex as baby + 1 of other for C of E?

I read that somewhere (Daily Mail?) that there would be two godfathers, one godmother. I'm going with Oprah for the godmother, unless someone reasoned with Harry, in which case it might be one of Diana's sisters. I suppose it depends on whether MM chooses to defy tradition again.

He's a cute baby and seems calm in front of the cameras. Other than the reddish hair, he seems to favor MM's side of the family. Kind of looks like Thomas Markle, no surprise. My aunt once told me an old wive's tale, that a daughter's first born son usually looks like her father.

I had a copper sink in my bathroom once. It would turn nasty because of it being copper. Continuous polishing needed.

Unless they have the tub insulated, ugh! cold!

How do you get in and out? A ladder?

The copper tub is a really really really expensive unnecessary flashy pick. I briefly considered one for a master bath remodel until I came to my senses. I cannot imagine William and Kate choosing something so.... useless showpiece. It tells me something about Megan and her need for glamour. Something not very flattering.

I'm more inclined to believe that there is a major media deal in the works with an American publication - i.e. People Magazine - for exclusive photos and details of Archie's birth, christening, first few weeks of life. I think this is all being handled very strategically for maximum benefit for the Sussex brand.

I've thought the same since before the baby was born. MM wants to copy the same plan as Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie when they sold photos of their first born child to the highest bidder in exchange for charitable donations to their foundation. MM and Harry were probably hoping to sell access to the first photo in order to get a donation for the new foundation they started after splitting from the joint one Harry had with William. Perhaps the Queen stepped in and told them they needed to make a christening photo public.

That said, I've little doubt MM will sell access to the baby to magazines, tv shows, etc. in exchange for charitable donations.

Hubs is starting to think I am right in thinking something is not right with baby Archie. Something a little surgery can correct when he is old enough. ?

I think this is all an affectation and he looks like a typical drooly little baby.

He's going to get photographed all his life long because of his parents. Perhaps the two of them should consider making sure he is used to it and can handle it properly like future king George Cambridge can.

The more "privacy" "secrecy" these two try to put in his life the worse their reputations will be. Neither Harry nor Megan are really that special in life. Harry seems to lack something in the intellectual realm and Megan seems to be acting very entitled. It's probably a good thing to ship these two off to Botswanna for a couple of years.

I haven't scrolled up to see if this has been posted, but I'm very surprised at the shortness of Kate's dress. Is she making a statement with that hat in that dress? It just doesn't seem right and something seems off?

Yeah that's how it's normally done here (for us peasants at least )

I’m so glad I don’t have to live with this degree of scrutiny every day I would go crazy. I like the Daily Mail website for photos but they are really annoying me by trying to stirr up trouble for clicks.
