While Meghan and Harry prepare for the arrival of Baby Sussex the Duke’s grandad is keeping things relaxed.

The Duke of Edinburgh was spotted heading out on a carriage ride in the grounds of Windsor Castle this morning, presumably satisfying a need for speed in a way he hasn’t been able to since his now infamous car crash.

The Duchess of Sussex can expect to spend around 12 to 18 hours in active labour, according to an antenatal expert.

How it will be announced

While most of the prenatal news is delivered electronically, Baby Sussex’s arrival will be announced to the public the old fashion way.

Town crier Tony Appleton, who announced the birth of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis after the Kate gave birth, will announce the news.

While he won’t be able to announce the birth outside the hospital as normal, chances are he will announce it somewhere...

If he does, he’ll be dressed in full uniform and ringing his bell.

It’s a medieval tradition which began because people couldn’t read or write.
