I was hoping we would have a time for the photo call already. I also hope the little one breaks the internet. CBS News in the States and ITV and BBC in the U.K are the only invited broadcasters providing coverage so it is going to be a much smaller media gathering.

No I agree I don't think anyone is bothered about any of that at all and certainly the media don't seem to mention it.

I'm also from the UK and honestly just think it's lovely to see Harry happy finally.
Which considering we're talking about the Daily Mail, Express, Sun etc. should show just how much a 'non-issue' it is over here.

Couples at a San Francisco hospital who gave birth on Monday – the same day Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's son was born – will be sent home with a special gift.

A total of eight babies at CPMC Van Ness Campus hospital were given yellow, hand-knitted crowns.

The creations are the work of staff nurse June Shiraki.

Hospital “crowns” babies born on royal birthday

This was a lovely idea.

I have truly enjoyed being on this thread with all of you! :) Thanks for the bonus smiles .:) They are always appreciated!!

Staying with my final answer to the name quiz: Alexander Charles Thomas.

There are so many wonderful names you've all put out out there (I hadn't realized that John Wayne was a Scottish name).

So happy for this beautiful little family. :):):)

Looking forward to tomorrow! (Royal time)

I am now wondering about Edward fore a first name. It's a good English name, Teddy would be a modern contraction of it. Ted, Ed or Eddie would be an option for him when he is older if he goes into the military or anything like that.

I also don't really think it would be a big deal that it's the same name as Prince Edward as one would be known as Prince Edward the Duke of Wessex and the other as Edward the Earl of Dumbarton, the royal family and media, too, often use the dukedom or earldom name to refer to a royal instead of their given name. I didn't even realise, when I was young, that Princess Margaret's son's given name wasn't Linley!

When choosing their regnal name, do monarchs have to choose from their own names or can they choose any name?

If any of those names are right I'll deliver a tiara to you myself :p

And there haven't been that many new posts, mods brought forward about 18 pages from the last thread, I thought something terrible had happened when I saw how long thread 7 had got already!

As we eagerly await the first glimpse of Harry and Meghan’s new baby, a treasure trove of previously unseen photos show what life was like for new mum Meghan when she was just a tot herself.
This newly unearthed collection of photos gives an amazing glimpse at Meghan’s happy childhood, from the ages of three to 13.
Some show her happy with friends at Little Red School House in Hollywood, while other snaps show her during school trips and birthdays with friends.
Newly unearthed photos shed new light on Meghan’s childhood

My final guess. They will chose an untraditional name.

He will have a head full of hair which will become quite curly. Color somewhere in the brown range.

You never can tell about a baby’s hair. I was born with dark hair and as I’ve gotten older and grayer LOL my natural hair is quite blonde.
