Ran out of Touche Eclat?

Probably just his under eye skin thinning so much with very old age

Yes likely old age, his mother had prominent dark circles in her older age as well. Sometimes dark circles around the eyes are hereditary.

I remember Christina Onassis had very dark persistent discoloration around her eyes, even as a young woman. It was reported it caused her great distress & even her $$$$ millions couldn’t get rid of it during that time. It was clearly familial in her, too, as her father Aristotle Onassis has them too.

I do believe PH thought he could walk away to a new life without losing as much as he has. I have no problem whatsoever with PH and MM leaving to start a new chapter and becoming financially independent. I think it would be very presumptuous of them to believe they could benefit from any reference to the Royals or their titles as Duke and Duchess. It is my belief they should relinquish everything associated with the Royal family and become “regular citizens”. I know this may not be a popular opinion amongst some, but it’s the way I feel. They will have many opportunities to participate in a variety of charities, as well as earn money from speeches, appearances or books. I feel they should do this as “Harry and Meghan”, or even “Prince Harry and Meghan, since he was given his title at birth. I think they were hoping to benefit from the Sussex Royal, or Duke and Duchess titles, as they moved to become “independent”, and I do not agree with that. I also believe that PH has given up so much of his former life for Meghan, and she has given up nothing. I would like to see them lead an independent life, away from the spotlight, but I seriously doubt that will happen because Meghan would miss the attention. However, I think Harry would be more than happy to not be in the spotlight and live a more simple life, with some financial help from the family he’s left behind. All my own opinion of course ...

He certainly looks like his mum on that last photo. Philip's family and history is a bit crazy - starting with him being smuggled out of Greece in an orange crate, and ending with his mother becoming a nun.

Dark circles do run in families. Including mine. My Mom used to say that’s because God wiped away your tears.

The Pincess sisters in the pictures obvi did not have fancy concealers back in the day, either... but eh? Does it matter when you are 98?

So, according to this article in the BBC, it was paparazzi hiding in bushes who took the photos of Meghan walking the dogs with Archie strapped to her, and not a friend. And Harry and Meghan are not happy about it.

Maybe this is why the DM spun it into a 'feel good' story about Meghan?

Good grief. What a load. Photographers don't just pop out of the bushes with a Royal security detail standing right there and their "shocked" and "unhappy" subject just smiling away right at them. omg lol. jmo

Philip's parents and sisters:

Prince Andrew of Greece & Denmark 1882 - 1944
Princess Alice of Battenberg 1886 - 1969

Princess Margarita 1905 - 1981
Princess Theodora 1906 - 1969
Princess Cecilie 1911 - 1937
Princess Sophie 1914 - 2001
Prince Philip 1921 -

I've only just twigged that Mountbatten came from Battenberg, and the well known cake was originally created in 1884 to celebrate a Battenberg wedding.

The bushes and branches were visible in the video....so apparently that's exactly what they did do.

Maybe one of the bodyguards caught a flash of the lens and said that they could turn back and M decided to smile and keep walking instead of giving the paparazzi an even bigger prize. It could be that it was the mature choice instead of throwing a strop for the paparazzi to have the tabloid editors really rubbing their hands in glee.

Yes, Mountbatten is the Anglicized version of Battenberg that, I believe, was chosen by Louis Mountbatten when he and Philip moved to the UK?

Not buying it for one second. Nope. She's not walking anywhere that hasn't been pre-searched. No way. That's not how it works. Especially in the woods with Archie. jmo

I watched the courtship and wedding and all the rest. I’m glad we got Will and Harry, but the match was doomed. Charles didn’t love her and she came to know it, probably even before the wedding. As she put it, regarding Camilla, “there were three people in our marriage.” Diana certainly had her issues too, but but Charles and Camilla were responsible for the marriage imploding. And I will say that I think Charles was under considerable pressure from his parents to marry and produce heirs, so some responsibility for a poor match with a very young woman rests there as well. Shakespeare would have had a field day with this tragedy.
JMO MOO

I shouldn’t presume about the rest of you, but I have zero interaction with any Royals, so far.

They were of interest, but they were like characters in a book to me. No way to relate to such a life.

Then Diana gave that interview. It was so powerful and I saw her as a real person. I think that is one big reason that people saw her as the people’s princess.

Same with Harry for me. He is a real human being not a wax figure

Agreed. Samantha has her narrative, and how is it something that’s really none of her business, gets airspace? But you know, it’s also obvious many feel MM has an agenda, from what I’ve seen. This is what I feel is perilous about being the the BRF. I mean people were burned at the stake, when vilified, either rightly or wrongly. Now, it’s the more civilized (?) hellfire by global media.
Jmo.
Haha yes. I've often thought crikey, imagine the payback in Tudor and Elizabethan times when people publicly said bad stuff about the royals! They'd be executed for treason. Different times indeed (thankfully, there would be mass executions at the Tower right now!! :D).

I don't think two guys walking with her can pre-search the entire route, go back to the beginning of the path and walk with her and know for a fact that the paparazzi won't congregate at the end of the path, hiding in bushes, while M and the bodyguards are walking the length of the path. Pre-searching things are limited to major public events where dozens of police search, and take bomb-sniffing dogs around. I don't think it's realistic for two guys to do that before a walk in a park.

The bodyguards are there more in case someone comes up close and needs physically keeping back, or if they see a sign of a shooter and then they throw down and attempt to cover the person who they're being paid to protect and call police.
