Maybe MM did visit the shelter itself then on to Admin. They are hardly going to publish pics of women in a shelter especially if they are there escaping abuse.

Most sensible post all thread. Of course they're not going to photo opp a women's shelter, the clue's in the name!

I see the DM are still wanging on and on about H&M, very tedious. It's not a huge shock they have been so venomous since she is taking them to court, so you'd hope the public realise it's a very personal vendetta.

DC would never do that, she has been a class act from day 1. MM has been known to control the narrative with pictures and have ppl clean up articles re her....jmo

so how does the press know to go when and where Kate is shopping?

As children, we grew up with the fairytales of the common girl marrying the prince.

Princess Grace seems like she was forced into it by her parents, IMO, And it appears her life with her husband was not a good one.

I wonder if Meghan has ever traced her roots. She may not be from Africa. She could be from a Royal background herself. Her mother looks so Royal to me. Her demeanor and composure is impeccable.

Africa isa very rich continent. It is filled to the brim with natural resources

They wanted to still do official engagements for the Queen like Royal Tours and patronages but without public funding that comes with the restriction that you can’t earn an income otherwise. So basically there was no way for them to continue doing royal duties while starting a professional (income-generating) business.
Thank you for clarifying this -well done !

I’m a little shocked about the stripping of the military for PH- it shows me just how upset the Queen and PC are IMO- this would not have been taken from him if they were fine with this step back

Hey @oviedo, was wondering if you were here. I came across this article when the thread was closed and saw Diana's choker on it, the one you had mentioned. Looks like the sapphire part of it was originally the Queen Mothers but I can't find any pics of it being worn by anyone since. Lots of jewellery pics for you here:

I feel sorry for Beatrice too. But it sounds as if it was a fun party and after-party anyway. I’m intrigued about Robert DeNiro being there and wondering how they are connected. Inquiring minds. :D
Oh no! You mean they were hobb nobbing with a famous person. And a person in the movie Industry. Shouldn't they have dropped all friends who are famous and especially well connected in the Movie Industry. How dare they :D

Her mtDNA is probably L3 or 4. I couldn’t go back further (or is it farther) than her great-grandmother due to the brick wall of slavery. I know, at least I think, I read on some pop gen site that there’s a possibility that her great-gran was of Senegambian royal descent.

It was long surmised by older Louisiana historians, all now deceased, that when you saw a slave with the name Caesar it meant they were from royalty in Africa. It’s was even rumored, in the NOLA rags of the time, that the original Dr John, Vodun practitioner & coffee shop owner, John Mantenet (spelling varies) said he was of royal descent in Africa, which is why he was a Free Person of Color in 19th century Louisiana. No I’m a Luddite & can’t link, but I’m a trained ethno-historian.

If I were M, I’d ask for three, including the one with emeralds.
JMO, MOO
I read this weekend that she won’t be able to wear a tiara now but I can’t find it now - anyone know if this is true? I suppose only the queen or Earl Spencer could loan her one? Or the other royals left? I wonder how this will work and if they will keep the Sussex royal brand ?

according to this - no she can’t wear a tiara but I’ve read she can if she’s invited to state events

that is fascinating. Who knows with all of the colonizing all over the place if there are not plenty of Fitz descendants all over the place. ( Fitz means from the wrong side of the bed)

I just caught up ! Thanks I love all these pieces and from what I understand the boys were choosing them for their wives - I’m curious if PH will get any more ? And who has physical possession of what remains ?

can’t anyone wear a tiara? I think I could get one and wear it. If nothing else, I see the plastic ones at the dollar store

Unfortunately it's sad and quite trashy to make money off from a family that a person showed no interest in. JMO

My post about the iphone was a joke/tongue in cheek. :)

I think now that they are in the US/Canada she can wear whatever she wants to wear. I imagine it may mean she won't be able to wear one of the royal tiaras.

I found a Sun article about where it all went:

In a special "letter of wishes", Diana explained that she was leaving her jewellery to her sons' future wives. The letter reads: "I would like you to allocate all my jewellery to the share to be held by my sons, so that their wives may, in due course, have it or use it. I leave the exact division of the jewellery to your discretion."

@KeineEngel I've found your kindred jewel spirit!

My favourite ring of Dianas (the aquamarine one) has gone to Meghan, and obviously Kate has THE engagement ring.

Diana's wedding day tiara belongs to the Spencer family and has only been worn by one other person since Diana died - her niece borrowed it for her own wedding a couple of years ago

MM, imo, just wants the fame. I respected her more when she was a spokesperson for World Vision . WV is more prestige than an iPhone case that says Sussex royal with gold print. I agree with her dad that it's looking like Walmart branding... JMO

The iPhone was a joke. :) I thought it would be obvious because it was so over-the-top, but I guess not.

Hopefully they dont rely on the bank of dad for a long time. Cant be independent while still relying on parental funds. Hoping they honor their word and pay back the Frogmore renovation money.

Since they are so "woke", I think they should give all of their money away to the poor and live on about $50K per year like normal people.

I was joking about the three tiaras. :) I have no idea if she can wear one or if she cares/
