OMG, I burst out laughing at the photo of her smiling so big for the camera. She's loving every minute of it.

He will represent them in a private way, not with his military titles unfortunately. He lost a lot of history and hard work...sad...JMO

And a big hard-won part of his identity, it seems. The linked article said he was enlisted for 10 years. He could have easily marked time in the military in the background instead, and not worried about being killed. Instead, he wound up flying Apache helicopters. The family tradition alone, as PP held one of PH's (recently former) positions for more than 60 years, until finally stepping down... that's a lot.

She snookered lots of people IMO. Including Harry. Wait til he sees these photos. Yikes!

She wanted to have the queen stardom like she felt in Canada so she never gave the UK a chance. The totem pole was important to her and she was not at the top. Archie is the one that suffers from all this drama. He will never know the paternal side too much. JMO

she would have seen her husband a lot more if she stayed with him and deal with the fall out. There is no excuse for that event to leave a child in another country and stay in the UK for a day or so and leave. Archie could been brought back to bond more with the RF before the Canada move... That was a big pawn move.....JMO

Who knows. Maybe Archie did something cute, maybe one of the people behind said something funny. A pic is a nano second in time. I just choose to see it in a positive light. That's just me.

So for those who watch The Crown, did you like Olivia Coleman as QE in season 3? I ADORED her although it took me an episode or so to get used to the new actors. I thought she was wonderful.

I also loved the actor who plays Philip. I loved him in Outlander too although his character was so yucky.

I think the show is so so good, and it’s a little bit of a history lesson in each episode.

Yes, I really liked the episode of PC going to Wales to study before his investiture. It was a great story. Beautiful and enjoyed hearing all the Welsh speaking.

Back in the 70's, when things weren't going her way, she was not at all happy and let the press know in no uncertain terms. Fortunately, the tables turned and she's been favoured for the best part of 30 years. She's worked bloody hard all that time, too. Of all the Queen's children I think she's worked how how to play the game best.

So you are assuming they are constantly snapping without interference from the security behind and her utter unhappiness and then caught that perfect snap, even though this goes against everything she wants.

Given all the security around her and that she was looking at the camera, I'd say it was a pre-arranged photo shoot. Something that probably wasn't allowed back in England, for security reasons. But, hey, those rules are probably the kinds of things she wanted to get away from, the toxic environment and all.

I **LOOOOOOVVVEEEEEE** that red dress that Cate was wearing! She always wears sparkly gowns so well. It's like if the ruby slippers were a dress!

Meghan looks great in those candids too. Meghan wears casual style so well and Cate wears formal style so well (I think I expressed that opinion in one of these threads months ago, I have a hard time remembering stuff like that).
