“Likewise, British taxpayers felt their contribution to the couple's lifestyle gave them a right to know certain details about Harry and Meghan's life.

The final straw for Meghan was the consistent criticism she received for months for being overly protective of Archie -- including keeping his christening private. Although the royal couple claimed they weren't reading the articles about themselves and Archie -- we're told they were well aware of the headlines.

Our Meghan sources say she was incensed about the christening coverage, and it was one of the reasons she and Harry decided to pull the trigger on Megxit. One source explains it like this -- "They think if the British public aren't contributing financially then they don't have the same right to comment on their private life."

Meghan Markle's Battle Over Archie's Privacy Influenced Megxit

Also, pathetic timing again from the sessex's. As Catherine begins a new project, her biggest yet it's being called - the Instagram account releases photos and info of Meghan going to a patronage .

Yeah, because that had to be released about an hour before Catherine starts her day . And we all know it's not the first time
I just checked and it does seem like there is almost a response to PW and Kate’s posts imo. The dog visit wasn’t even timely - why not release as it happened? My guess is there’s a stored up batch of these just waiting to be posted - to detract? - me thinks so -now

From The DM—
“Mayhew was founded in 1886 and today sees itself as an animal welfare social worker, keeping cats and dogs, whether family pets or companions for the homeless, safe and well alongside their owners, and supporting communities.”

To me, looking at the attached Sussex IG post it says nothing really about this organization. Or, how long ago it was established. But the DM did.

Only in the third paragraph does it attempt to summarize some kind of mission statement.

If they ditch some the flowery “togetherness” language, add some better concrete detail about the organization of Meghan’s patronage, and consider losing some of the self important formality it might land better.

This is the failure of their PR.

And, their timing for self promotion is really bad. Disappointing.

I’ve thought since the beginning they’ve had terrible PR. This is no different.

And stuff just continues to backfire for them in the press... SussexRoyal train-wreck.

I don't see that tonight on any of the network shows that I have. Is that an Internet only show?

Ch5 is a British freeview TV channel. I won't be watching. He's brought it all on himself, though I squarely blame Samantha for coercing him when he was vulnerable.

Royally entertaining! HBO turns catty fake Prince George Instagram into an animated series about the ROYALS -
including Harry and Meghan - created by Family Guy writer Gary Janetti

    • The Prince, from 20th Century Fox, is coming to the HBO streaming service
    • It's based on Janetti's satirical version of six-year-old Prince George, who features heavily on his Instagram page
    • Janetti's George is sassy and snarky and makes fun of his family
    • The Family Guy writer will voice Prince George, while Orlando Bloom has signed on to play the role of Prince Harry
    • Other stars include Alan Cumming, Condola Rashad, Lucy Punch, Tom Hollander, Frances De La Tour, and Iwan Rheon

New animated series about the ROYALS from Gary Janetti is coming to HBO Max | Daily Mail Online

Well, she did say that she wanted to do voice overs so this may be the opportunity?

I follow Sussex Royal on IG and without the ridiculous DM commentary the post was not at all “self important.” She included a link to Mayhew if one wants to know more. Rather than a PR failure that “backfired’ in the press, this is actually an invention of DM and their constant anti-Meghan pot stirring for people who love drama. If DM hadn’t deliberately made a big deal out of it being on the same day Kate does something, few would have even noticed or cared, least of all Kate. There were very few negative comments on IG, and DM did quote some positive comments from IG about her Mayhew visit. But overall they cater to those who want to see just about everything Meghan does in a bad light. I prefer to give her the benefit of the doubt and focus on her love of animals rather than let DM twist my opinion of everything she does to fit their negative narrative.

Does a milk advert show Harry and Meghan's future?
By George Bowden BBC News

The Queen's grandson Peter Phillips is shown endorsing Jersey milk in a series of adverts in China
It evokes a quintessentially English image of lush green fields and grand stately homes and ends with the Queen's grandson taking a satisfying sip of fresh milk.

A Chinese television advertisement, unearthed by the Daily Mail this week, shows Princess Anne's son, Peter Phillips, endorsing milk from Jersey cows and comes as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex prepare for a new life of greater financial independence.

Despite not having a royal title and never having been a working royal, Mr Phillips, 42, is introduced to viewers as a "British Royal Family member" while he is pictured in various regal settings in the campaign, which aired on Shanghai television.

At one point he says of the milk, via a Chinese voiceover translated by BBC Monitoring: "It's fresh, and it's what I want".

The Mail revealed on Wednesday that another of Prince Harry's cousins, Lady Kitty Spencer, 29, has also worked with a separate Chinese milk brand on a campaign partly filmed at the British Museum.

It raises the question of whether Prince Harry and Meghan might pursue similar work as they take more control over their finances.

For royal biographer Penny Junor, the sight of a person with royal connections using their status for financial gain "always looks bad".

"It does not reflect well on the monarchy," she told the BBC - though she adds there is an attraction to such deals. "It is difficult," she said. "I understand the need to feed a family."

Does a milk advert show Harry and Meghan's future?

More at BBC link, but Bbm H&M are going to have a big “Royal” credibility issue in the commercial world.

The difference being in the titles. Those who are not members of the working royal family have to make a living.

The commercialization of royalty cheapens its value. Imo.

It’s not just the DM. It’s all over the headlines. And if this is the kind of “press” they are attracting, maybe it’s time for a new PR strategy?

I’m looking at this from a business perspective.

I’m sure Meghan loves animals. Taking on a role, Royal role, spokesperson, is a business persona. Unfortunately, the part that’s backfiring is the focus of their bad timing. And that makes people question motives.

And the feedback is not good. I’m talking about the feedback that’s not been deleted from their IG page...

This has been the failure of a lot of their PR. They are not the first to have bad PR. Fergie has had her share of bad choices and terrible PR...

Not available in the USA, but I'm hoping someone uploads it to youtube. Sounds like he was treated pretty badly by PH and MM. The whole situation makes me wonder if she learned her poor (IMO) behavior from him.

You’re certainly entitled to your opinion. I don’t happen to agree.

It feels like the issue is personal, doesn't it?

And that would make it a low and mean act
