The case for murder

Maybe black latex gloves were available there also.

Is this a black glove on top of the railing post beside the stairs?

Good catch, TorisMom! I enlarged the image and it's really hard to tell, but does look like could be a pair of heavy black gloves, one on top of the other. I say heavy since whatever it is it has volume and not flimsy like nitrile.

Note the red dog bone at foot of fireplace.

Interesting observations @ the glove & the big red dog bone! I agree that the black object which resemble winter gloves look too thick to be nitrile ones. I wonder who left those gloves there, if in fact, they were gloves? I don't believe the EMT or police would be carrying/wearing thick gloves around in the middle of a hot summer month in July, would they? :waitasec:

I see the red object and it sure looks like it could be the red dog bone, but it's too indistinct for me to see what it is exactly.

Nonetheless, it would be very very incriminating to the murderer(s) if the red dog bone was not taken upstairs by Rebecca or Ocean the dog after Max's accident.

If only there were pics/video of the interior of the house after Ocean the dog was taken by doggy day care owner, then we could eliminate that Ocean was the one who brought the red dog bone into the murder room.

Does anyone know if ADT security system was working and turned on Monday night? I know it's been reported that it wasn't on or was somehow not functioning on Tues night when Rebecca was murdered. It'd be interesting to know WHEN exactly ADT was turned off or became non-functioning.

Is someone out there already working the non-skid hospital sock question? I was at an airport this morning when it hit me: Some airlines issue non-skid socks too.

Oh, good catch, STS-135!

Oh, good catch, STS-135!

That would be on international flights only, and for those flying first and/or business lass only. But, they are not non-skid........I have several dozen pairs of airline issued socks , and none are non skid.

After watching Sheriff Gores comments on the Hannah Anderson missing girl, he came out and basically accused her of being a willing participant, this shows me that he did make the suicide assumption and made her autopsy fit the picture IMO

I saw him make a point that there was no evidence she was being involuntarily held - good god, I think that man is living in some other century.

Yes, his statements were pretty shocking given reports to the contrary from her friends. It's a very shocking thing for Gore to say and reveals a lot about how he views women victims of crime. Most LE professionals today are better educated than this.

If these are Gore's deeply held beliefs, it explains a lot about RZ's case, including why her body was left in the yard, uncovered for hours on end.

Those remarks make me view this investigation in a new light.

Unfortunately, time, same century. A few previous parallels in Gore's illustrious career:

"Once the teams set up, they waited until DiMaggio and Hannah separated, and moved in," the Valley and Ada county sheriffs' offices said. […]

At some point, a "confrontation" ensued between authorities and DiMaggio, San Diego County Sheriff Bill Gore said. The confrontation ended when an FBI tactical agent shot and killed the murder and kidnapping suspect.

"Obviously we would have liked for Mr. DiMaggio to surrender and face justice in the court of law," Gore said. "But that's not going to be the case."
http://www.cnn.com/2013/08/11/justice/california-amber-alert/index.html?hpt=hp_t1

So here we have our trusty sheriff once again in action in, of all places, Idaho. Lest we forget his "stellar" (being ironic) performance at the tragic Ruby Ridge massacre where, under his orders, a 14 year old boy's mother was killed in cold blood while she was holding her infant.

"Gore's role in these liquidations of unarmed Americans -- a mother and young son -- is undisputed. […] Bill Gore is a loose cannon.."
http://www.saveoursheriff.com/blog:18

And let's not forget his role in 9/11:
"It is quite likely that -- if FBI Agent Bill Gore had been at all competent in this job -- 9/11 would not have happened: the information, the intel, was readily available to him, but Bill Gore was incapable of interpreting the info. This sort of lapse is commonplace in Bill Gore's professional career."
http://www.saveoursheriff.com/blog:18

Gore's influence in the shooting death of DiMaggio is unknown. As reported, DiMaggio and his 16 year old captive were separated at the time. We don't know the details but I question why FBI sharpshooters didn't shoot DiMaggio in the knee caps rather than kill him. Consequently, the truth (as horrid as it may have been) in this case has been obliterated before DiMaggio could have his day in court. Apparently San Diego Sheriff's Office forensics will analyze the evidence in the DiMaggio case. Good luck there.

No doubt, Gore is pleased as punch to be back in the limelight now that there is a positive outcome, this after spending the week hiding behind his assistant sheriff as well as "trusty" Jan Caldwell, SDSO spokeswoman.

And don't get me started on Jan Caldwell and her participation in slamming the doors in Rebecca's case. It's not surprising Ms. Caldwell has strong feeling about reporters and bloggers, as per the following article "San Diego Sheriff's Spokeswoman: Here's Why I Discriminate Against Bloggers." As Robert deNiro's character in Taxi Driver might have said: "Hey, Jan, you talkin' to me?" Apparently, Ms. Caldwells' sentiments about bloggers and journalists are one and the same.

A quote from the article:
We're not sure exactly what kind of information bloggers have asked for that has so rankled Caldwell. But it sounds like Caldwell's approach to public information might just be illegal. If the public asks—or even demands—public records, they're entitled to them. Unfortunately, this sort of thing isn't unusual.

In 2007, Californians Aware partnered with reporters and conducted an undercover statewide audit of law enforcement agencies. Most of the agencies from the CHP to sheriff's departments to police departments failed miserably. Under the California Public Records Act, citizens should be able to walk into a law enforcement agency and ask to see documents about what sorts of crimes are happening in your neighborhood. Reporters—and, yes, even many bloggers—know it's not always that easy. In the survey, undercover auditors were asked by clerks and police officers illegally who they were, what the documents were for and some even had to give their IDs. Even after all of that, many of them walked away empty-handed. So as much as we're not completely surprised to hear Caldwell's remarks, it's still discouraging and appalling.

Apologies for the long post. Ever since Rebecca was murdered, I get physically ill every time I hear the names Bill Gore and Jan Caldwell (as well as a few other obvious names). As a San Diego tax payer, I pay their salaries, so I do tend to take their job performances personally. Due to their "performances" throughout Rebecca's case, every word that comes out of their mouths has been tainted.

Unless quoted, all the above is my own personal opinion.

Thanks for the informative post Carioca.

Being involved in a high profile case where he has to work with other LE agencies might not be as beneficial to Gore as he thinks. His approach to law enforcement and pursuing criminal cases isn't normal and may not be acceptable to LE in Idaho or in the FBI. They may not want to be associated with Gore's tactics, especially when they're all exposed to national media scrutiny.

In addition, it doesn't look good for him to be attacking a very young girl who was kidnapped by a pedophile who murdered her family. Unless he has some really compelling evidence, he's going to come off looking really bad in trying to attack and demonize this victim. Hopefully he'll have the FBI looking over his shoulder every inch of the way in examining any evidence.

And yes, a dead perp makes it easier for Gore to build his case any way he wants. I hope this girl's father is willing to stand up in the media to protect her reputation.

Excellent insight, Betty P. You managed to make an objective assessment whereas my emotions got the best of me. Grrrrrr.....

BBM I too hope her father goes the extra mile to ensure his daughter's reputation. He lost his son and his wife, mother of his children. It is unspeakable that while he mourns he should even have to consider that. How terribly irresponsible and insensitive of the sheriff to make such an opinion publicly IMO.

I know what you mean....I go over the boiling point with the Romano sisters spewing false statements/accusations.

Thanks! It's been a real eye opener to observe Gore's behavior and statements in DiMaggio's kidnapping and murder case. As much as I've disapproved of his tactics, I always gave him some benefit of the doubt, thinking he may have been pressured to close down RZ's case and call it suicide. The DiMaggio case shows Gore needs no prompting or encouragement to jump to misogynistic conclusions about women victims of crime.

Gore's warped POV and MOO on these kinds of cases was a dream come true for the killer of RZ. They probably had a meeting of the minds from the very start. It also makes me wonder if SDSO applied pressure to take the case over from Coronado PD, who had been conducting a good investigation. Someone's warped sense of self-righteous anger toward a victim they deemed a "🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬" may have driven them to take over.

Very Freudian and an interesting manifestation of the M-W syndrome.

Getting back onto the case for murder. In the past few days I noticed a subject about heavy menses caused by the IUD brought up that obviously begs for comment.

Somehow. Somewhere it was insinuated that since Rebecca was using in IUD, making her periods heavier, this explains the blood droplets on carpet and in shower.

This is off topic and has nothing to do with why there might be more blood on the floor, however it does fly in the face of the "gold digger" theories regarding Rebecca's personality I have seen some posters trying to throw out there for the past 2 years.

I think its a commendable nod to Rebecca's character that she probably was NOT a "gold digger" if she was using an IUD. A gold digger would have had the IUD secretly removed , not told Jonah, and gotten knocked up, ensuring a positive cash flow from him for the next 18 years of the childs life. Maybe even hoping for a house or 2 to live in? A gold digger is only concerned about the money and lifestyle they might be getting, not the man's wishes, so a quick pregnancy by a billionaire would be an easy way to go. A much lesser woman trying desperately to hold onto Jonah (as some have characterized Rebecca as on here) might have lied about being on birth control (ie birth control pills) in order to trap him into having a child he never agreed to having or ever planned on. Rebecca did neither of these things.

Between the Mayor and the Sheriff, what chance does a female victim have in San Diego, I always love going there but now...

Sadly, tragically and arrogantly...the MISOGYNISTIC head of the SDSO continues to "flap his trap and spew his crap" !! His words will be played over and over in the mainstream media. Now all can see, he emperor has no clothes, honor, empathy, character or humanity. He surrounds himself with a bunch of spineless sychophantic "yes men" hoping they get their pensions funded.

While it has been often stated, "The cream rises to the top"...I have to add,
SO DOES THE SCUM!

Sometimes it is hard not to say, "I told you so!"
ps... don't bother to call me mean spirited or harsh...I speak, based on first hand experience.

When does this disgrace to all men everywhere come up for re election? Will this latest blunder be enough for the residents of San Diego to say enough is enough and vote this 🤬🤬* out of office? One can only hope, and hope that no other community wants anything to do with him either.

I'm sure, after hearing him speak, that HA's father would/will stand up for his daughter. Personally, if I were him, I'd file a slander suit against Gore, or one for intentional infliction of emotional distress. I don't know, maybe neither is possible, but I'd so love to see him get his sleazy butt hauled into civil court and get a huge judgement against him. Him personally, not the city of SD.

*Gore - what an appropriate name for something so disgusting.
