I think the seminar was pivotal to what transpired that night. Toni had given Gerard an ultimatum that she didn't want Allison to attend. Gerard, too, would have been concerned that if the two met they might confront each other at the conference. He must have attempted to talk Alison into not attending. This would have rung warning bells with Allison that he was still in contact with Toni and the affair was not over as he had promised. This fresh humiliation would have been the trigger for an altercation that ultimately ended in her death.

Forensics, that's exactly my feeling of how things may have played out as well...

11:04am: The detectives questioned Mr Baden-Clay about a cut on his hand.

Mr Baden-Clay said he injured his hand while installing a light bulb in his friend's house which he was helping renovate.

"I was fixing a light fitting," he said.

Overones .. all the way through this interview .. lots of resentment and annoyance from Gerrid, not only about the questions .. but about Allison.
