these blokes, Cranna et al are saying now they didn't put pressure on Gerard for the loan.. naturally, that's what they would say now..

thing is, those loans were on the books.. as gentlemens agreements, and on the books as unpaid , not just the principal, but the interest as well, Gerard only made 3 or 4 payments.. this would prevent him from getting a loan from anyone else who asked to see the books..

It still makes me cry with laughter that Gerard, in asking Flegg for a cool $400,000.00 didn't want to name his partners to Flegg..

what was he thinking? nutso stuff..

This is what I don't get..... What on earth was GBC spending all the money on??? He was obviously getting some money from the business. He got money from the partners, money from his friends, money from his parents, money from his brother......but what was he spending it on?

He was on the bones of his arse is what he said! Why didn't he just sell the rent roll when it still had value and repay some of the debts instead of borrowing more money from the ex partners to fund it. Oh yeah, that's right.....it was his ONLY form of income/cash flow if the sales business wasn't performing. He had run out of people he could get his cash flow from so needed to con the ex partners, once again, so he could keep up the facade. :banghead:

Pardon my being blunt here - but what an utter load of codswallop! In all my years as a surgeon (recall that Flegg is a GP whose only exposure to anaesthetics would have been in his student and intern days) - I've never yet heard anyone scream as they go off to sleep! And I have seen WAY more trauma than he ever has - and same thing. If they're awake, they scream LOUDLY. If they are semi-conscious/dozey - they don't scream. Moan, maybe - but never a scream. And if a scream is elicited by somebody having to do something to them, then they yell out LOUD.

Oh Dr Flegg - your evidence is nothing short of, ummm - "incredible" in the true meaning of that word.

I agree it's a weird description, and difficult to interpret.

I wonder if he means the kind of strange moaning/wailing you sometimes see in patients with head injuries/dementia etc - a bit like a baby's cry but lower pitched and slower - ie really weird noise being made by someone whose brain isn't working properly

More to my thinking - If it was deposited directly to the Business account the friends would have shown as Creditors - whereas, if GBC transfers it to the business from the joint account - he and Allison show as the creditor.

He would want to look like he was the one injecting cash into the business, not his friends.

Reasonable suggestion there - but as a doctor, he should be able to describe that much more clearly - as you just did. And I doubt that those noises would travel all the way from the BC house to the Flegg house, even at the dead of night... (no pun intended)
