Yes, all of that is relevant to them assessing his credibility.

11:26am: Mr Baden-Clay has arrived in the dock. He is wearing the same dark suit and glasses he has worn for the duration of the trial.

Lawyers for the prosecution and defence have taken their seats at the bar.

The court will hear today whether Mr Baden-Clay intends to step into the witness box or call witness in his own defence.

Unfortunately I disagree The prosecution case was/is weak, so much so that the defence saw fit to make a no case submission. I must admit I did not expect GBC to give evidence but the fact that he is means the defence has something up their sleeve.

BBM Maybe blame it on someone else? TMH?

OK so the fact that he's starting off with a denial of domestic violence makes me think that's exactly what did happen.

Analysing this testimony might tell us a lot about what did happen by seeing which things he denies hardest, or where he waffles on with extraneous info to avoid the real details.

Oh man I'd love to hear a voice recording to see where the volume of his speech drops when lying, as it did in the other interviews.

11:30am: Mr Baden-Clay has stood in the dock.

The judges associate has asked: "Gerard Robert Baden-Clay, the prosecution having closed its case against you, I must ask if you attend to aduce evidence in your defence."

Mr Baden-Clay's defence counsel Michael Byrne QC replied on his client's behalf.

"Gerard Baden-Clay will give evidence and call evidence," he said.

I wonder if he is going to say the phone going back on the charger was Allison heading out in the night - on her way to kill herself she noticed his phone fallen off the charger and popped it back on for him - as one would with suicide on the mind - NOT!
