11:46am: Mr Byrne:

"On the 19th things went as they did in the Baden-Clay household.

"They both went off to work. Gerard did what he did, Allison did what she did. She had a meeting, as you heard, with the trainer on the 19th, they chatted about children, they chatted about work, diet, exercise. There was nothing to indicate there had been an explosion on the 18th, when these hard and difficult questions had been asked and answered ... "

11:35am: Mr Byrne has outlined what his client intends to say in the dock.

"He [will tell you] he did not kill his wife," Mr Byrne said.

"He will tell you openly and frankly about his infidelity ...

"He intended to continue his life with Allison and the three girls. He'll tell you he loved them ...

"He'll tell you what happened between himself and Allison on the night of the 18th. You saw the journal, you saw the questions that were out there.

"The ones he answered were the ones crossed out."
