Gerard #badenclay: "I felt a level of emotional attachment to Allison that was far deeper than I'd ever experienced before... @NewsTalk4BC

Boy, he knows the lines that get to women, doesn't he? Lots of practice with his concubines, I 'spose.

It is a long way to fall...from the top of the Swiss Alps...to being 'on the bones of your arse'. He is upset that he has been painted as an incompetent looser, and wants to correct this. Nothing to do with Allison. It is all about him.

Ohhhh pleaseeee...what on earth does any of this have to do with the murder of your wife!!!!!!!

I was thinking the same thing !!!

2:49pm: Mr Baden-Clay had fought with his long-time mistress Toni McHugh over the phone that afternoon.

Ms McHugh had demanded Mr Baden-Clay tell his wife that she was due to attend the same real estate conference as her the next day.

He did not warn his wife of the impending run-in that night.

"He did not mention it," Mr Byrne told the jury.

The prosecution has previously alleged Mr Baden-Clay killed his wife when faced with the dilemma of having his wife and his mistress come face-to-face for the first time.

I'm late reading up but never believed this....think Allison knew...How dare he anyway, why not tell ms TH to stay home? And I tend to agree with the Prosecutor"s.....

Allison told no one of the affair - although GBC seemed to be proud of it and was spruiking it to whom ever he came accross - This behaviour is atrocious and just another demeaning thing for Allison to have to deal with.
In all honesty, I cant understand why she put up with his disgusting behaviour the only reason I can come up with is that he belittled her enough to make her think no one else would want her - when in actual fact it seems she was quite a catch - intelligent, attractive, caring & ambitious.
I am seriously going to hate everything he has to say on the stand because he is attacking her and she isn't around any more to put the actual truth out there.
He is the one on trial - she did nothing wrong and yet everything seems to be focused on the very minor things she seemed to have struggled with....FRUSTRATING!!

So true - it's just disgusting.

GBC= FIGJAM!! :furious:

Gerard says the job he found "paid very very well" and the job Allison found "hardly paid anything". #badenclay

  • #936
But oh!, if i could take the stand,
if they could witness my last breath,
could they live with the terror,
that i went through in death?.

If they could hear my pleading cries
and see the hatred in that face,
at last,we'd know, the scales had
'been balanced" in this case.

Oh my gawd - he's crying in the witness box...! Is this regret at what he's done? Is it genuine feeling for Allison? Is it a cynical ploy order by the lawyers? Is he that good an actor? Is it the thought of jail? Is he innocent?

Sadness at being caught I'd say Doc - everyone has always believed the golden boy!:maddening:

This is the biggest sales pitch of Gerard's life!
