10:40am: At home, Mr Baden-Clay said Allison was struggling to cope with three children and their marriage deteriorated.

"As I sort of mentioned before, she was at a point where she was throwing all of her energies into the children," he said.

"She was certainly getting a bit better, progressively better, generally, she was able to take the children to ballet, that sort of thing ... but that took a lot out of her emotionally and physically as well, so when she wasn't out in public presenting that calm facade and looking after the children she would, collapse is a too strong a word, she would just collapse on the couch.

"When I got home, often it was just a hand-off and I would look after the girls while Allison went to bed normally ...

"Allison had no interest in any physical intimacy at all and I just didn't want to pressure her ... and it became the norm that there was no physical intimacy."

The boss here let one of the girls bring her son one day when childcare fell through at the last minute. It was quite disruptive.

I wish this was televised. Then I think we would have a better chance of reading body language. I'm aware that no one here really agrees with me and that's okay, but maybe he is actually upset. Or maybe I'm naive.

I'd like to see it too, to see if he does seem genuine, although i'm sure of his guilt.

Going on and on about wanting a boy is really strange. It just doesn't sound like a woman would stress so much about that unless the husband had made repeated comments about it. Just coming from a woman's perspective. Sounds hinky.

Gender depression is actually a thing, you can become quite depressed over not having a child of a certain sex. Having said that, I think the whole thing is being exaggerated by the BCs...
