Police 'saw nothing that looked like blood' and did chemical screening and found 'nothing that reacted to that testing' #badenclay

Blood was found in the car but can the jury be satisfied as to how it got there? #badenclay

All areas were checked very carefully for blood #badenclay

Caroline Overington ‏@overingtonc 1m

The search continued for seven days, including a shoulder-to-shoulder search by the SES of the property #badenclay

Nothing was found #badenclay

This, says the defence, is the evidence #badenclay

The evidence in fact suggests there was no blood found in the residence or around the property #badenclay

There was also no evidence of a clean-up #badenclay

Police go over it with a fine tooth comb. There's no evidence of a clean up - defence #badenclay

Byrne reminds jury that Gerard is an accountant working as a real estate agent. He doesn't known how to clean up a murder scene. #badenclay

It's not enough for the jury to think: blood in car! Wife killer! Nabbed!

Nobody has found Kylie Labouchardiere body , yet.. no one knows how she died.. but Paul Wilkinson sits in a cell for life for her murder..

Byrne says Gerard and Allison aren't alone in the house. They had three young children with them. #badenclay

Byrne says jurors have been to the house, they have walked through it. #badenclay

Wonder if Byrne will discuss the scratches, the leaves in her hair, the emails and phone calls to TM. Circumstantial evidence is a rope with many parts. The parts are there and the PT will bring it out loud and clear!

I'm so pleased PT is going second.

Police simply cannot find what you'd expect to be there, if Gerard violently killed Allison #badenclay

Defence: #badenclay is an accountant who works in..real estate...not someone who knows how to wipe down.. sanitise a scene. @7NewsBrisbane

This is the first I have heard of transient suicidal thoughts! Did he make that up?

Also the first I have heard Ali - think he just threw that in - very wrong in my view, but still grasping at straws and he will likely try and elaborate on that further in.

Also, Gerard and Allison are not alone in the house. Their three little girls are there #badenclay

Kate Kyriacou @KateKyriacou · 25s

Byrne says if the girls had called out through the house, they would have heard it. Not sound-proofed in any way. #badenclay

Byrne says the three girls were taken by police on April 20 and asked what they heard. #badenclay

What's with the "violently" killed all of a sudden?

Kate Kyriacou @KateKyriacou · 24s

Byrne says the eldest said the last time she saw her mum was the night before. She says just like any other night. #badenclay

Byrne says eldest girl got up to get a glass of water. Her mother was on the couch in her pyjamas. #badenclay

Killing someone violently does not just mean blood spurting everywhere!
