Hmmm..There are 2 Angela J Rose's who are in the marriage index. I wonder if one of them is the Angela Rose (Angela Jean Rose) from the article. One married in 1991 and was born abt. 1969 and the other married in 1993 and was born abt. 1971. If either of these are the Angela Rose from the article we could put this one to bed. :waitasec:

ETA: I haven't found Angela Rose under either married name yet in US Public Records. I think the first Angela Rose shown above (the one who m. in 1991) had the birthdate of 1 July 1970. The Angela Rose from the newspaper article had the birthdate of 6 Nov 1970 (same day as her daddy's) I haven't found the second Angela Rose (the one who married in 1993) with her spouse at all in the US Public Records. Still researching and mumbling on here to try and get my mind into gear.

If Angela's mom (Marjorie Ann) got pregnant at 15 she may have dropped out of school to have the baby. Maybe she went back to finish school later on?

Excellent research, RKnowley. Marjorie's DOB suggests that she would have graduated around 1973, so it would be about 2 years off. Not impossible; but, unless she started school late or was left back it may not be her. Also, how sure are we that Marjorie is Angela's mother? If we can find out for a fact what Angela's mother's maiden or married name was in 1975 when the yb pics were taken we can probably quickly rule her out. Or, who knows? Maybe this could be her. In any event I think we need to do more research and wait to send anything to LE unless we are pretty sure that we are on to something.

Lion, I don't think it would get confusing if we each took a section of what is there now and divided it up and either cut and paste or copy and paste our portion of what we are doing into a new spreadsheet for each one of us. Then MrsG could add the names she hasn't finished into a new spreadsheet and those can be divided up later on. But if it's going to be finished tomorrow night I guess we could wait :)

Also, please note: MrsG is not finished putting up all of the names from the yb yet. She said she would hope to finish by Friday night. We may want to wait until she is done before we divide into the groups of names or it could get confusing. Sorry about that. I thought all the names were up.

Hi there Julessleuther! Do you have access to the gmail spreadsheet for the 1975 Class Alumni? If so maybe you could work on the females that I wasn't able to find an address or phone number on. I hope you are able to understand that notes I put on the spreadsheet..lol. If you decide to go there and work on it let me know if you don't understand anything I put there OK? The rest of the names will be added tomorrow by MrsG but I don't see any harm in working on what is there now? What is everyones opinion? I don't want to get put in the corner or anything

Thanks

I already went there and gave my gmail addy. I can work on this now for a few minutes or later tonight if you'd like me to wait. I do not have classmates gold--shobut will get it, if it is needed. (I was thinking of getting it anyway for a "project" that I am working on...)

Jules, you shouldn't need to purchase classmates gold for this project. The names are already on a the gmail spreadsheet and I tried to get all the females that are on that list first but some of them I couldn't find anything on them. I left notes on the spreadsheet of which ones I couldn't find and still needed further research. I guess we should vote on wait or what though. Not sure what exactly to do here.

Ok--I have to pick my son up in 10 min, so have no problem waiting, as it will be hard for me to concentrate on it until he goes to bed (early tonight -no american Idol. :D) I did have a thought though...not having to do with the spreadsheet. Perhaps someone else mentioned this already, but I did not catch it---do pawn shops keep records of their purchases and sales? IF Princess REL ring came from a pawn shop, should we research pawn shops in the area and see if they would have any record of the ring?

I am pretty sure that they are required to keep records of transactions - at least in my part of the US they are.

This is an update on Angela Rose from July of 1986.

Reward upped to $25,000
SHEPHERD - A reward for information leading to the whereabouts of a missing 15-year-old Shepherd girl has been increased to $25,000.
Angela Rose, a petite Shepherd High School freshman with frosted brown hair, has been missing since May 13 after a classmate saw her approaching a man in a red pickup truck behind the school.
Last year, Rose won a multimillion dollar out-of-court settlement from a trucking firm stemming from a 1983 car accident in which her mother and father were killed. A $10,000 reward to be paid out of the Rose estate had been offered in the case.
Bobby Newman, a Houston private investigator hired by Rose's guardians, said the first reward brought several tips, but no sign of the girl.
Newman said that if the $25,000 reward doesn't prompt someone to come forward with information about Rose, he is convinced that will mean she is dead. Newman said a man in a red pickup truck admitted seeing Rose the day she disappeared, but denied that the girl got into his truck.
Rose's guardian aunt and uncle, Hayden and Bunny Irwin, said they agree with Newman. But San Jacinto County Sheriff Bob Brumley said he has seen no evidence of foul play in the case.

I can't find any missing persons site for LA either. Strange. Maybe we should call DPS for LA and ask if there is one.

I spoke with, "Patty" at the LA State Police Crime Lab today. She did not know if there was an LA missing persons clearing house or any state based site or organization for missing/UID cases. So, she put me on hold to ask others she worked with. She got back on and said that in LA each individual police or sheriff's dept. agency keeps their own records and that in turn they might report their cases to the NCIC.

I cannot find any place where NCIC has a site for the public to research missing/UID's. Is there none? Anyway, IMO, LA may have a huge hole in their system regarding the missing/UID's unless there is something I am overlooking. If I am wrong, I am sorry.

I could be wrong; but, I think we discussed the possibility of the ring having been pawned. I think I recall somewhere in this thread that one of us talked with a pawn shop broker who had only seen about 10 cases in 30 years where a ring was pawned. It could be a zebra that we can further research, perhaps. Good thinking julessleuther. We really need to put this on our list of zebras on the someoneknowsme.com site.

I think I messed up in explaining what I meant about suggesting that we wait for MrsG to finish putting everything from the yb on to the some one's site. I meant that before we begin to attempt contacting the grads, perhaps we should have all info up on the site and careful keep notes of bad email addies, bad phone#'s and street addies, who was contacted, who we got a response from, etc.. but, it might be helpful to research as much as possible for marriage records of the girls, email addies, phone#'s, etc..

Then once MrsG finishes the input of names to the spreadsheet we can divide into groups, finish the research and start contacting the grads. What do you guys think?

RKnowley, you r da bomb! Thank you for the info. And, thank you for the updated article about Angela.

I am thinking that because the missing/UID info throughout the USA is not complete, it is possible that if we find a missing girl/woman who turns out to be a match to our Princess, it may be through some long lost newspaper article in an archive someplace. I may start searching through the years 1985 to 1990 for any other missing girls or woman in the Houston Chronicle. I wonder if there were any other newspapers during that time period for that area. How would we find that out, I wonder?

I'm not certain that any other paper is as extensive as the Houston Chronicle for that area. We can sure check though.

ETA: I think you are right about Princess Blue (I refuse to call her PB, lol..reminds me of the sandwich and also de-personalizes(is that a word?) her again). That we probably aren't going to find her on any missing persons website. At least it seems that way to me.

Definitely, RKnowley. I will work on it in the next few days. When i have a rough draft I will post it here and ask if there are any suggestions on what else to include on the letter.
