The "Everything Michael Jackson" Thread

Joseph Jackson, 79 and Katherine Jackson, 77

Dad hustles various girl groups in Las Vegas. Mom is still a stay-at-home housewife and the only family member in contact with Michael. Both have previously filed for bankruptcy

Janet Jackson, 41

The current family breadwinner. She bought her mom a Vegas home in anticipation of losing the family's mansion, Hayvenhurst, to foreclosure. Like their Neverland colleagues, workers at Hayvenhurst have not been paid for months.

La Toya Jackson, 52

Family turncoat who declared Michael guilty during the 1993 molestation case, she earns a living mostly in Europe and in the UAE judging beauty and singing contests. She lives with a wealthy boyfriend in Beverly Hills and has little contact with her siblings.

Rebbie Jackson, 57

The oldest, she's married to successful businessman Nathaniel Brown.

Tito Jackson, 55

Formed a blues band several years ago and plays at small venues for $500 to $1,500 a gig.

Michael Jackson, 49

On the verge of losing Neverland ranch as well as the family's Encino, Calif., home. He's hiding out in Las Vegas and repeatedly makes promises to his brothers while sabotaging any attempts by them to ply their musical trade.

Randy Jackson, 46

Does odd jobs like changing tires to support himself. He was Michael's business manager during the 2005 molestation trial but ran into serious problems with friends after he persuaded three people to take out lines of credits against their homes to help Michael pay his attorney fees and Michael stiffed them.

Marlon Jackson, 51

Lives in San Diego, where he works stocking groceries at a Vons supermarket. He fell on hard times three years ago when he was forced to leave his foreclosed home and move into an Extended Stay America hotel with his wife, Carol.

Jackie Jackson, 56

The oldest son started an Internet clothing business and is trying to produce records by his sons. Nothing has panned out.

Jermaine Jackson, 54

Splits time between the parents' Hayvenhurst mansion and his girlfriend's home in the San Fernando Valley. With more than $5 million in federal, state and other liens against him and a 1995 bankruptcy filing, he doesn't work or have a regular income.

Interesting that the girls in the family are all doing well while the males aren't. I wonder how many grandkids there are and how they have turned out? Have any of the girls had children?

Good lord! How stupid do you need to be?? I used to feel very sorry for Michael because of his lack of childhood, but I am over it now. I really think that the only reason MJ feels so powerful over his family is because they continue to allow him to hold the cards. I am pretty confident that if the info in the article is true, the 'otha brothas' could successfully sue to be released from MJ's label.

They need to stop publicly announcing what Michael will / could do for them. They should sell their own stories (tell alls) and threaten to sell Michael's, if they haven't already, I guess people feel they know it all already.

The article stated that Rebbie is married to a successful businessman.

DeanWs My impression was that the contract was many many years ago.
I don't think contracts are open ended??

But even still since the article also stated that they were suppose to be paid 1,100$ for an appearance and where never paid .. Michael is in breech and they could take him to court to dissolve the contract.
IMO they want to blame him and expect to not have to work.

I think MJ is a perv and really don't care if they all go homeless. These people had more money then just about anyone in the country and I am not sympathetic that they blew it all.
The money they made as the Jackson 5 was more then enough to support all of them comfortably..

Why not sell the mansion and downsize?? The issue here is more about them feeling entitled to living this lifestyle IMO.
Broke is relative.

Sounds like this family is in dire need of a credit counselor. Sad that they had so much and squandered. It is also sad that people like this are allowed to file for bankruptcy. Bankruptcy hurts all of us that pay our bills. :(

I have read things through the years about Janet having had a child, and she tried to keep things hush-hush. If I remember correctly, according to the stories I read, she "gave" her child to a family member (Rebbie?).

I've read that too IM. And, yes, I heard it was Rebbie.

Honestly, I think the whole lot of them are nuts. They have such a sense of entitlement. Go out and get jobs. Geesh!

I think Janet had a child during her secret marraige which has since broken up. I don't mean to El Debarge either. She had one after that. Remember that Rolling Stone cover with her topless and some fellow's hands cupping her breasts? That was her husband's hands.

I would buy that book!
