Quote from a blog at
http://yalajaji.blogspot.com/2006/01/do-something-minister.html
"What happened makes Bahrain look like the zoo of the world.. we bring in lunatics and child molestors and give them big palaces and fancy jobs."
The accompanying cartoon and comments are very enjoyable, too.
The blogger's main thrust is a complaint about Bahrain's Minister of Information and the perceived double standard with how MJ is being treated compared to another singer/event that the MoI cracked down on. But the comments do take quite a few hits at MJ as well.
Another Bahraini blogger also comments on MJ at
http://sillybahrainigirl.blogspot.com/2006/01/bravo-whacko.html
In the discussion of MJ's appearing in public dressed as a woman, she notes, about the legality of MJ dressing as a woman in public:
"And laws? Well, I doubt that laws apply to Whacko since he is the King's son's guest. In Arabic, we have a saying which roughly translates to: The Shaikh's dog is a Shaikh.. meaning, what applies to the Shaikh applies to those under him (ie: his dogs) .. not that Whacko is a dog .. look.. the more I open my big mouth, the deeper the hole I dig for myself.. so I will keep peace now .. for now only."
Finally, Roger Friedman comments on MJ's recent visit to the family of a former German boytoy at
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,182967,00.html where he notes:
"
Jacksons typical situation with surrogate families is to divide and conquer. In time, the father is usually usurped by Jackson, who showers the family with gifts. At Christmas, Jackson flew the Schleiters to Bahrain and did just that."
Roger seems to be fully aware of MJ's m.o., which makes it all the more shameful that he decided to take Team MJ's side in the recent criminal trial. Roger, explain to us how even though you know all about MJ's usual practice of targeting dysfunctional families to get access to their boys, you still don't believe that's what happened with the one family who had the guts to go to the cops about it.
