A spring trial date could easily end up being delayed until the summer. Wonder what the defense will do. Take their chance in the spring or use every tactic to get it delayed until winter? It took 14 months just to get to these hearings.

I wonder what trial the national media will have more interest in---this one or Jesse Matthew? His is scheduled for July 5, 2016 iirc.

That's odd. It was reported the Judge would set a trial date during the October hearing.

I thought so too, that's why I posted it. Perhaps the People article is wrong, I can't image a Judge scheduling a trial on October 12th for "later in the year". Courts usually don't like to begin a trial around the holidays, especially one like this that has the potential to go on longer than most.

It sounds like the judge will also decide whether there should be a change of venue during the Oct 12-13 hearings, so once they get past that point, then the trial should be able to start. I can't see it staring more than 6 months after the last hearings. Maybe even sooner.

"I think you were probably living under a rock if you didn't hear about this case," said Cobb County District Attorney Vic Reynolds. "I don't mean that in any flippant sense, but if you can't find a jury here that can be fair, then you've got to move it."

It seems very unusual for the prosecution to be open to a venue change, usually, they tend to fight it. I couldn't even guess whether the trial will be moved. It almost seems random which cases get moved.

Well he certainly doesn't look like he's going hungry. I noticed that his orange jumpsuit had "XXL" stamped across the back of it.

JRH seemed dozy and unable to stay awake during some of the arguments the lawyers were presenting which makes me wonder if he is on medication of any kind?

Attorney Melanie Davis said the statement "malicious intent" sounds rehearsed and he should have used a different choice of words. "I'd advise him to say something along the lines of, 'I didn't mean to leave my son in the car...it was an accident,'" said Davis. She said that type of response would show compassion for losing his son, who was found dead in the back seat of a hot car.

Body language expert Susan Constantine agreed, saying Harris' phrasing shows no remorse.

YW. Reviewing phone and texting records... correction: snapchat and kik messaging re: genetalia image requests. I missed the first 20 minutes.

This hearing specifically addresses the count 6 demurrer motion (to dismiss) or sever the sexting with minor charges.

Denied.

JRH must of had huge withdrawals of not having his phone in his hand 24/7. He probably has the new iphone 6 pics hanging up in his cell.
